Hey folks, Filip from Dissent here.

Good news, I know a lot of people have been waiting for the skids to come back... They're back! They are only going to be on sale for a short while and will go back out of stock. Our plan is to make skids in limited runs a couple times a year. Skids will start shipping in October (sooner if we can). If you have a Dissent front bumper already make sure to state so in the comments when you check out.

We have confirmed fitment of the third skid on the LX570, so we are only selling the 3 piece skid for both the LC and LX. What we have found is that a small number of LC200 and LX570 frames lack the threaded holes required for the frame stiffeners that go with the third skid. In that case the stiffeners are optional, that third skid (transmission/transfer case skid) still installs without the stiffener and is still functional. Putting rivnuts in the frame would also work but access is limited.

In other product news we are almost caught up and we are reducing lead times across the board. We still have some LC200/LX570 rear orders to fulfill so we haven't reduced the lead time for that product just yet but we do expect next month it will jump to a 6-10 week lead time and stay there. If you order a rear today you'll likely get allocated a bumper in the very next batch which we hope to run later this month.

We have short lead times on all LC200/LX570 fronts right now, 3-6 weeks if you're not ordering other products like a rear.

Roof Rack News - Expect us to do a limited run of these later this year, sign up for the email alert on the product page.

Slider News - There is a very small chance we'll do a limited run of these, if we have time and material we will. Sign up for the email alert on the product page.

Are these skids strong enough for crawling around malls? 😁

Does the rear bumper come with a rubber trim piece after plastic bumper is cut?

Are the sliders compatible with lx570 or just lc200?

Waiting patiently for a rack! Might have to get some armor in the meantime :o

Still kicking around a front bumper.

Just ordered the front bumper I've been wanting since it became available. Really excited to finally pull the trigger on that. Lead times had been the main factor holding me back. Very happy to hear they have come down.

Which one did you go with?

The low profile that fits the 2013. Its the only option for the 2013. For cutouts I went with the 6" rigid. No light bar option as I am mounting STEDI Type-X pros on the bumper. I only hope the bumper is compatible with BudBuilt skids, even if there is a gap.

Sweet looking forward to seeing the finished result! The dissent filler plate fits perfectly between their bumper and the BB skids. Initially I didn’t have the filler plate for a year or so and it was a non issue. Adding the filler plate completes the look and ensures no sticks or road debris can reach the radiator.

Got mine today. Dropped off at the local powdercoat shop.

Welds are sexy. Reminds me of Sherwoods welds on Ventana mountain bikes in the 90s.

Do you have a picture of the area between the BB skids and bumper?

I've got the skids and ordered front and rear bumpers. I didn't order a filler plate though.

Here is a before and after. You can see in the close up of there is a gap between the bumper and the first skid plate which leaves things a bit exposed. The second picture you can see the filler plate installed. I don’t have a close up at the moment but can send one later.

Don't worry about a close up. This is exactly what I needed. Thank you.

First time changing my oil with the skids on. The Dissent Dudes freaking thought of everything.

I totally get why they didn’t mess with putting in a small door for the filter. 6 bolts to drop the service skid, and way more space than a tiny opening.

Nice notch in the Engine skid allows for the filter to come out easily, and pan is easily accessible with the EZ drain in place.
