First off, sweet bumper... again! The aluminum is great for the more... street oriented owner, haha.

Yes, water jet would be the way to go for sure! Unfortunately my options where I'm at are limited.

Have you tried some of the big outfits in the US? There should be someone with good shipping options for you unless you are in an area delivery services charge extra for, I guess. If laser really is that much more that seems like a worthy effort.

In my recent CNC-routing vendor search for my recent platform system I found a place in Michigan that was significantly cheaper than any local place, even after including shipping costs.

Thanks!

The aluminum will be a great option for 99% of 100 owners.
Me and my buddy wheel some harder trails than most and we will both be running the aluminum version once done.

Once I get all my files finished I can price shop, the tough part is I really haven't had the time to shop around so I end up paying more to the shop that's 15 min away due to convenience.

Wow took me all week but I just finished this entire thread! Pretty interesting last 30 months for you (benc) huh? Your work is top notch man, those bumpers are fantastic.

Are you taking or considering taking pre-orders for the aluminum version? I'll take the no-shipping option here in Elk Grove.

Haha, thanks!
Yeah, its pretty crazy how this whole thing started!
Just wanted to get 5 guys together and never planed or thought this would turn into a full time business.
Yeah, I'd be willing to take preorders on the aluminum.
I have a good idea on the price but not nailed down 100%.
Will not be any more than $1475 though.
I'm also not sure if I'll offer the bull bar in aluminum or not.
I'm about 12 weeks out so the aluminum will likely be ready before that.
I think I'll go ahead and start a new thread to gauge interest in the aluminum so keep an eye out for that.
Pm me if you would like to get your name down.
Thanks!
Ben

@benc thank you! Couldn't be happier with how it turned out. I got compliments from people at hotels and gas stations all the way home. I find myself going out to the garage to stare at it for a bit ...

I washed it as soon as I got home - bumper stood up to the bugs of Nevada. Here's a few more close up pics of some of he detail work and lights. Celebratory cigar for a new member of the family ...

Maybe this has been addressed already, but I would like to know if I can install my rigid Fog lights into the hole you cut into the front bumper? If not, what brand of lights are they, how do they stand up performance wise, and how much do they cost? I can always mount the rigids somewhere else.

As long as they are the rigid flush mount lights they will fit.

Drove up north this weekend to spend a few days with family... and to pickup this from Dissent!

Brand spankin new Dissent OffRoad front bumper installed by Ben! I love it but more importantly my wife loves it (it is her Land Cruiser after all). Ben is a true craftsman and the level of detail is amazing.

BUT the best part is that this followed us home!

I won't say any more because I don't want to rub it in. But needless to say I am a pretty happy guy and I have one of the best looking cruisers parked in my driveway. (I know that might be a little biased...) :)

Anyway ... thank you Ben! It was great to meet you in person and I am very glad that I had to opportunity to have you work on the LC.

Do others have cruisers parked in your driveway too? Just kidding. Clean looking rig! Dissent bumpers are in my future.

Here is my front bumper in a side canyon up Nine Mile Canyon, Utah. Need to mount my winch control box - still working up the nerve to cut the trim to make room for routing the control cables.

That is sweet. Looks like you color matched the cladding on the wings?

@benc how are you wiring the turns and fogs when you install at your shop? Have you sourced stock plug and play connectors or are you cutting the cruiser side plug off and installing your own water time connector?
