Glad I placed my rack order in 2021! The hi rise awning mounts are really solid. First rate service from Ben and his crew (shout out to Cole). They provided me periodic updates without me prompting and it was well worth the wait. I place my order in April and got in late August, which was right inline with his 16-18 week estimate.

Cole is a great guy to work with! I totally agree!

Skid plate back into mix please. Just from the demand to be used as catalytic protection these would sell very well.

Probably not the best thread to ask my question, but I'll ask anyways...

I got the accessory tray swingout for my rear bumper, but I do want to secure my 2 scepter cans, (water and mfc each) and the 6lb worthington propane tank.

Obviously the accessory tray isn't ideal to mount these. maybe there's a basket of sorts to secure therm?

The guys at stellar built have used this Jerry can mount on their tray and looks like there is still leftover room on the other side.

I wish the LC community will grow as big as the Jeep community so that the demand will be high enough to support great vendors like Dissent/Slee etc. to expand their business as big as ARB's. Then we'll enjoy much shorter lead time and great price :p

Somehow, I don’t think that is likely…

The worse part is that the numbers you quoted won't change much even after we add up all the other LC 40-200 series available in the US 😅

Don’t think we’ll ever get as big as ARB but @benc has definitely put more capital into equipment and labor this year to be able to get lead times down. Prices are obviously up due to material cost being sky high.

In other news bull bar for the Ultra high clearance front bumper is finally in the works as well with a few tweaks before it’ll be ready.

This looks really nice and I look forward to seeing what the LX version may look like…if you need a beta tester for the LX version that will for sure put it through it paces…I’m your man!

While they do not flex THAT much, I was able to achieve enough “flex” on one of the wings on my front bumper when I used a tree to “bounce/bank” up/off an obstacle. That wing flexed enough that it got up into my headlight and fender and got things get out of alignment (creased the fender and deflected the headlight housing up). I’m curious if this bullbar may add some strength to the wings and help them to not “flex” up?

I know my unorthodox use of the Dissent bumper is probably beyond the scope of the intended purposes, but I was just looking at the bull bar and thinking that if I would have that on my bumper it might have at least distributed the forces into the bull bar and may have kept the wing from moving up so much.

Hard to explain this scenario if you weren’t actually there…maybe we will see you guys in person at next year’s Cruisers on the Rocks and you can see first hand how even a high clearance bumper can end up being “in the mix” on some obstacles! 😬

Ha you gotta be careful following the @ga12r1 lines.

The bull bar may make the bumper more rigid, but there is always going to be movement in the body mounts which makes the gap in between the bumper and body important.

in what order to I put the washers if I want to install the swing? I brought the truck used with the accessory tray swing detached. Comes with 2 thick zinc washers and 3 thin steel washers. I cant see any good on the other swing

i had similar needs, but with the older rotopax 3gal Jugs and propane.
just made a bracket and quality straps, etc. works great.

Copy and pasted from a FB post:

Dissent LC100 3rd generation Ultra-high clearance front is available for order (LC and LX), the changes are largely for manufacturing purposes, BUT the bumper now comes with a tie-in skid and is pre-drilled for a full bull bar. We have released the new Land Cruiser bull-bar (LX 470 one is forthcoming). Steel only.

To celebrate this launch we are giving a coupon code that will only be live through Sunday 06/29/22 CODE: UHCMUD
We are discounting the base bumper to $1275 (normally $1499)

Bull bar is sold separately and there is no discount on that

First orders will have a lead time of 2-4 weeks (add two weeks if adding a bull bar). We do expect to sell more than we have on hand, so the lead time may be 4-6 weeks for later orders.

Is the tie in skid updated too or the same as before? Will the 3rd gen front bumper/bull-bar be available in aluminum in the future?
