Here's our new to us 2008 200 series. 153,000 miles. One owner in Los Angeles its whole life. Sonoran Gold.
We've been in the process of going through it. We've cleaned the seats with a steam cleaner, did it a second time and rented a carpet cleaner from Home Depot. The interior is definitely the roughest part of it.

Mechanically we've started going through fluids. Flushed brake system out for new fluid, flushed power steering fluid, oil change with TRD Filter, engine air filter, in cabin air filter. Next up is diffs/tcase.

It's already had the radiator replaced.

We just replaced the rear hatch switch as it was no longer working to open the hatch/tailgate. The actual electric motor seems to be fine, just a dead switch.

We installed some Dobinsons suspension. Despite formerly working for Icon we were pleasantly surprised at how good the Dobinsons worked on the Maltec so we went that way. Rockwarrior wheels and tires are on order, but first we're headed to Sonora, MX to make sure the color really matches up! Okay, also for a desert race and to see if we can catch site of SV Delos on the hard.

The build is going to be somewhat similar to our 80 Series Goose Pre-poptop or my older 4runner before that. Sleeping platform inside, keep the center of gravity low and the truck fun to drive quick. This truck is just for our time in the states and baja so it will see a lot of the mapping work we do running trails all day and some fun easy Baja trips to our favorite spots.

Tim and Kelsey

So when is the Campteq 200 series poptop conversion coming for this rig :D

Love those Rock Warriors! Can't wait to get mine on the 200 when I'm due for new rubber.

Great video. I really enjoyed seeing the 200 navigate the terrain.
The black RW wheels go perfect with the Sonoran Gold paint.
I miss when my 100 was at this (slightly modified) stage! Now it’s built up and HEAVY.

Really liking them so far!

Thanks! We coated them in a pretty dark bronze/brown plastidip, but I like how it looks black or just a brownish/black in different light. We'll see how it holds up to offroad.

So, this is a 4runner I had almost 20 years ago. After putting a nice rock sized dent in the rear bumper I built this rear sliders to match the side sliders. Worked well to keep it light and add departure angle so we decided to do it on the Golden Goose too.

It's not done yet. Going to add a bar tying the two side bars in the rear and protecting the spare tire. Also need to add some more supports to the bars so it can take more abuse.
