Wondering if I can get away with changing the o-ring without draining the oil?
Thanks

Did you indeed replace it without draining oil?

I just did my CV joints and wound up chasing what I initially thought was a pan leak, but it's actually the dipstick penetration...likely the o-ring.

Any advice on the o-ring job? I imagine it is just a friction fit with the right o-ring? Anyone have a part number for the o-ring?

I did—nothing to drain. You'll see when you get to the top of it, easy job. Definitely clean the area first, though.

96721-19010 for an '03 LX.

Thanks. And double thanks for the part number.

Wish I would have noticed this before I put the axle back in...
