So, at my typical snails pace, I put a top-shift three speed in my 1963 FST FJ40 a few months back. I did not put the transmission hump back on as I needed to plug the hole from the 4-speed that was in there and cut a hole for the PTO shifter...
Fast forward several months and I finally got around to doing those two things and go to put the hump back on and the top-shift linkage hits the driver's side of the hump. I guess my FJ originally had a side-shift three speed in it, is/was there a difference between the tranny-humps depending on the style of transmission?
I originally thought that I may have put the linkage in wrong, but I've rearranged the links every possible way and it still hits. I was going to use my BFH to clearance the hump, but thought better of it.
Thought I'd ask here first.
