Does anybody know what is the size of the threaded hole in the bell housing for the sender?
And have you tried an aftermarket one? what is the impedance of the oem one?
Thank

What bellhousing are you talking about? I have the H55 at home, and it's all sitting in pieces so I can measure it up tonight for you.

Thank
I have a h55f behind 3b, but that would be the same for a 2H, and probably 13bt..12ht
Since the part number is identical for the sender DETECTOR ASSY, REVOLUTION
83180‑60040.

I got the basic instrument gauge cluster in the troopie and will install the one with the rpm, oil press + volt(24)... but guess what, even the bell housing is not drill / tap!, wierd. since i don't have one sender in my hand for the moment and got the tranny and rebuilt t-case ready to go!...

thank fras.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

The bolt is a fine thread 20mm bolt. (24mm head, not that it really matters).

From the inside of the bolt head to the end of the sensor is roughly ~37mm.

Got everything connected today and it's work!, the thread for the oem sender is 20mm x 1.5.
the swap between the cluster is plug and play, just need to change the oil pressure switch for a pressure sender before connecting the new cluster with oil pressure gauge.
On a europeen troopie with 3b engine, there is already a connection on wiring hardness for the rpm sender...just need to drill and tap the bellhousing!
Thank
