I have a 1985 LJ70 Land Cruiser with a 2L 2,446cc Diesel Engine. The top of my fuel pump (22100-54340) is leaking fuel when the vehicle is running. Is there a way to rebuild the pump and /or replace the seals. The pump new cost over 1100 USD and I am trying to avoid that. Thank you in advance for you comments/suggestions.

Do you know the exact spot its leaking from? Have you tried lightly tightening and screws holding things together?

it is problably the linkage going down in to the pump there is an o ring had this problem on my 3b with a rotary pump and these pumps are basicly the same. you can do this yourself just pop the top cover of and replace the oring. and if you are worried about the cover gasket give it a good clean and aswell the gasket surface on the pump and apply a super thin coat of gasket maker and thigten evenly

roughtrax in uk has a bosch seal kit. was used to reseal my pump . a shop did it, runs very well now, but I wont mention the mad price I had to pay...

I would clean it up with the pump on the engine and then get an accurate idea where its leaking from (unless you already do)
