**UPDATE - MAY 2014**

ALL CON-FERR RACKS HAVE BEEN SOLD.

We may have some DiamondRax units available, but we will not be updating this thread regularly. If you're looking for a rack to fit your rig, please PM me and I will look to see if there's anything available that might work for you. Thanks very much!

In the corner of the office, we have a bunch of racks that are just sitting there collecting dust.......many of which have never been mounted on a rig.

They are there for various reasons: Some are lightly used and have some cosmetic scratches and dents, but are perfectly fine structurally.

Some are prototypes that have different features like: Various spacing/configuration/style of the crossbars, different powdercoat finishes, etc.

Some are "oops" racks where we flubbed something up, but nothing that would warrant throwing the rack in the s**** pile.

We even have a couple Con-ferr racks that are just taking up room.......

I'll add pics, prices and descriptions of the racks one by one so you know exactly what is being offered.

Everything I list in this thread will be 50% off of what the normal retail price would be. Mounting hardware and shipping are NOT included.

Let the sale begin!!!

First up:

This rack measures 48" wide by 60" long and with 4" tall sides. This is the standard width rack that we sell for the 80 series Land Cruisers and will work with our Bulldog 2.0 Heavy Duty rain gutter clamps. The 60" length is perfect to fit between the sunroof opening and the rear hatch opening.

There is NOTHING wrong with this rack that I know of. It is powdercoated with a lightly textured satin black finish.

Normal retail price of this rack is $439......sale price is $219! (plus shipping).

Number 2:

This rack measures 44" wide by 48" long, with 4" tall sides. This rack is a good width for 4Runners. We can provide the correct mounting hardware once we know what generation of 4Runner you have (at additional cost).

There is nothing wrong with this rack that I am aware of. It is powdercoated in a lightly textured satin black.

Normal retail price of this rack would be $419. Sales price is $209 plus shipping.

Third on the list is:

This rack is the standard size for the FJ40....60" wide by 66" long. This one has 4" tall sides. It will work with our Bulldog 2.0 Heavy Duty Rain Gutter Clamps with our "tall" upper brackets (not included).

This rack has different spacing of the crossbars.....they were actually lined-up to coincide with the upright "side" pieces. After we put them together, we felt that there was too much open space between the crossbars at each end and the end of the rack.

If someone installed a flooring system of some kind (i.e. plywood) there would be no problem at all. Of course, other remedies could be fabricated as well.

This rack would normally run $489. Sale price is $245 (plus shipping).

UPDATE: 12/31/11.....This rack has sold!
The fourth one is identical to the one above, except it has 6" tall sides (instead of 4" tall).

Same deal.....the crossbars were positioned in a way that we felt there was too much open space between the end crossbars and the ends of the rack.

PM sent on 80 series rack!

PM's responded to.

More racks with pics will be added shortly.

Here's some teaser info:

A) Used 48" wide by 60" long by 4" tall Con-ferr rack with home made wood slat flooring. $200 plus shipping.

B) 60" wide by 84" long by 6" tall Con-ferr rack with some damage. $250 as-is, or $300 repaired "as best as we can" plus shipping

C) 60" wide by 24" long (1/2 rack) by 6" tall used DiamondRax prototype rack.

There are probably more, too, that I'll add as I have time to get pics, etc......stay tuned!

If you have a scratch and dent one on a platform rack for the 80 series from the sunroof back, ill take it.

Interested in the half rack, send me a pic please.

Pics of the 1/2 rack.....

Update 12/24/11 This rack is SOLD!

Here ya go:

This rack is 60" wide and 24" long with 2 crossbars. I was wrong, this is not 6" tall, it is 4" tall......

The crossbars are an earlier style that we tried......the "channel" is open along the bottom and there are welded plates where the rain gutter clamps attach.

6438361057_606cb16f5d_z.jpg

At first, we bolted all the way through, but it tended to crush the channel when you tightened it all down. We found it is better to just utilize the welded on plate to mount the gutter mounts to by fishing the nut in and running the bolt up from the bottom (does that make sense?).

This rack was slightly and lovingly used on my own 40. There are some nicks and scratches, but nothing big. It is powdercoated in a smooth semi-gloss black.

Normal retail on this rack is $299. Sale price is $149 plus shipping.

Here are a couple pics of it mounted on my 40:

Just so everyone is aware.......

Most of the roof racks we sell exceed the maximum size allowed via UPS, so they must ship via freight.

Usually, shipping runs from $135-200 depending on where you're located. Shipping to a business/commercial address is best......it is normally $50-100 more to ship to a residential address.

There may be cheaper ways to get it from me to you (i.e. MUDSHIP, Greyhound, etc), but I'm afraid I don't have tons of time to check into every option for each person.

I will tell you that the closest Greyhound station is about 45 minutes away (in San Bernardino) and I'll be happy to drop it off there for you.

If you'd like to check out other shipping options, our zip code at the shop is 92321.

I wish I would have seen this before I bought a used one, cut it up and welded it back together, lineX'ed it, and put in a floor.......dang!!!!!

Okay, here's some more to choose from.....

This is the used Con-ferr 48" wide by 60" long by 4" tall rack with the wood slats. Finish on the slats is flaking. There are some minor scratchs and scuffs on the rack but, overall, in great shape.

This rack is the perfect fit for the 80-series.....sits behind the sunroof opening.

$200 plus shipping takes this one!

Here's another good candidate for an 80-series:

This is a DiamondRax prototype that measures 48" wide by 48" long by 4" tall.

6449034177_d639f60bf4_z.jpg

It has the same "early" crossbar configuration as the FJ40 1/2 rack shown earlier in the thread with the welded plate on the bottom.

6449034195_91a9f11fcc_z.jpg

This rack has never been mounted. It has a smooth semi-gloss black powder coating.

Normally this rack would retail for around $289. Sale price is $145 plus shipping!

Last one for now......

Dave actually whipped this one up real quick to haul some stuff on top of his rig. It has only been used the one time.

6449059817_0648b14e95_z.jpg

6449060313_8db0b27cef_z.jpg

It measures about 44" wide and 55" long. It is a platform rack with sides on it, but without ends. Dave calls it a "flat top with fenders!" It has 4 crossbars (of an earlier, very nice, style.

It is powdercoated in our current textured satin black. The powdercoating, alone, probably cost us $60 or so......

We'll let this one go for $125 plus shipping!
