For the first time since owning my '07 LX I have the AHC dialed-in. Holy cow is the ride smooth and comfortable! Potholes and rough roads are gobbled up.

If your AHC is original and your globes are shot, it's worth replacing them. New globes, fresh fluid, and t-bars adjusted so the pressures in Techstream meet factory specs. 340k miles and the truck drives nicer than most brand new cars.

You can get a better ride than AHC, you just have to spend $150k on an optioned-up S Class from Mercedes. :)

AHC is good working form is something else. Washboard and rough dirt roads are where I think it shines most.

It was quite easy. My truck isn't rusty so all the fasteners move smoothly. Process is as simple as opening the bleeders to release the pressure, unscrewing the globes, screwing in new globes, and bleeding the system.

Takes 90 minutes, maybe an hour if youre fast.

Do you recall how many turns you adjusted the torsion bar bolts? What condition are your control arm bushings and “shock” bushings in? I’m at 316k with two new globes, new fluid, 9 graduations, and no techstream.

If I recall around 6 turns. But I highly recommend using techstream instead of guessing. The "ABCs of AHC" thread has the exact pressures you're looking to hit for the front, rear, and accumulator.

A techstream cable is less than $10

Pretty incredible the original globes lasted 340k miles. Holler at me if your interested in reselling.
