Can somebody point me to where I can find the process to work through to find a the problem with an 8274-50 ?

I am getting: click . . .

I have traced the power to the control box, and have a good ground coming out, so I guess I need to check the solenoids. Has anybody seen a good process to work through to isolate problems with an 8274-50?

I had the same problem. Check the connections on top going into the motor. Mine was loose, and it was brand new. Call warn, they can give you a number for the closest place that works on them. Give those guys a call and tell um whats going on. Worked for me. The part on mine that was loose was the post that the wire connects to and goes inside the motor. I had to tighten the nut on top without turning the post, if the post turns it breaks a copper wire inside and has to be sent to warn. I got it tight, and it has worked great ever since. Check all connections, check those posts going into the motor, then call warn. I cant remember the name of the place but the # is 509 535 0905 ask for Tracy, place is located in spokane. Tracy was very helpful. Goodluck!

After doing the above checking the connections, check to see if it will power out. If it powers out, but only clicks when trying to power in, you likely have bad solenoids. Same issue I had. Bought 2 new solenoids from a Warn supplier and installed them myself when rebuilding the winch. Works great now.

I am getting the: "click . . . . . " going both in and out. That really lead me to believe I had a problem with the overall power source or ground.

But I hooked up jumper cables directly to the battery, so I knew I was getting power to the control box. It could still be a ground issue, cause I just clipped the jumper to the bolt/lead at the bottom.

This winch has really seen very little use, just not sure to look. Can I just touch jumper cables to each of a solenoid's terminals and listed for it to "click"?
