hehe i was hoping, a while back to have this thing running by this weekend, when i booked some time in a cabin on the coast, but no such luck :(

Stoked to get this thing on the road though, driving me nuts :)
Well hopefully soon, maybe i drop by again today and see what's up.

cool, i think they are at the shop :)

Another question that has come up off and on, and I wanted to get your guys opinion on it :)

After the initial break in period, These rigs should prolly be kept at a maximum of around 55 mph on the freeway correct? ( I have very little need for anything faster honestly, as I drive like an old man in my truck ) :D
Again not looking for top speeds or something silly, just verifying if 50-55 is a decent cruising speed at the times i am forced to use the hi-way, in regard to motor health and longevity :D

Thanks guys!~

I don't think it's as much about a speed as it is RPMs. The lower the RPMs the better the engine likes it. I try and keep my F145 in my 68 around 1,800 to 2,200 on the highway. I just have a cheap tach attached with a clamp to my steering column. With the one barrel carb I can lug it down to 400 RPMs climbing a hill without stalling. Low end is where these old stock engines shine.

no.. even toyota advertised "Turnpike speeds! Drive all day at 85 MPH on the highway."

So did you ever find a pintle hook that will fit your hole pattern? Thinking your four legged friend is going to take up the most of the back. With a soft top there is no roof storage. The 1/4 ton trailers are a good fit. It will go anywhere you would take your cruiser. If your going from point A to point B and not camping in the same spot every day it would be much more enjoyable to have the extra room. If your camping in the same spot all the time it's not as big of a deal.

Still have not found a pintle hook that matches the bolt pattern on the back, i might have to make some modification down the road or keep searching :D

A small military trailer would be cool down the road ;)
