engine hoist at harbor freight=150$ or less. If you got this far you will not have much trouble pulling the motor/tranny/etc.

I wont confuse you anymore...promise! LOL

:D

It is definitely out of my knowledge range.
I am not afraid to say it :)

Any one have a ballpark estimate on how much it would cost?
( a few posts up is the question )

I think you're fine painting the frame from here. I just hate por-15. IMHO get a quart of a couple of items try them on the skid plate and decide what you like best. IMHO try out zero rust. It will work well for what your doing and you can brush it on.

Its just nuts and bolts...you can do it! Dont make me drive up there!:grinpimp:
I felt the same way a few months ago about pulling my tranny and doing a clutch etc...its easy once you do it!

sweet, shop quoted a good price to pull the motor and pop back in, painting the frame at the paint shop is a lot cheaper than i thought.

Getting the truck dollied over here in a bit :D

Stoked :D

Just keep the pics coming...and go there and watch what they do so you can see for your self...and take yet more pics :hillbilly:

The landcruiser shop is 4 blocks from the paint shop :D

The are pulling the motor etc down tot he frame.

Paint shop is removing all the old stuff, then heavy duty sealing primer and paint.
The the motor is dropped back in.

Wanted to watch them disassemble, but they work faster on their own.

They had the motor and tranny mounts unbolted, radiator off and where disconnecting the drive train in the time it took me to wrap up and run the credit card with the tow truck driver :D

I will b e taking photos when it gets to the paint shop :D

Dean, they found the capri blue paint for you.
They quoted me for a gallon with the hardener / reducer etc.
I will send you a PM later.
I can ask him to order a small pint if you just want to test spray :D

You will be happy with that decision :D It will really turn out nice.
