I don't get the whole thing about switching out the rear lights for clear ones or whatever. I like the factory look.

Yeah, they're not for everyone, but they look fairly similar to the OEM lights. However, the brake light/tail light parts are LED lights, so they're brighter and more modern looking without being ricey. The backup section is basically the same as the OEM lights, and then the turn signal lens is clear instead of amber. Getting rid of the ugly amber section is where the major improvement lies.

I hate the ricey/blingy all clear lights or altezzas...they're horrible. I think these Depo LEDs are tastefully modern looking, though... JMO.

I had to disconnect the trailer harness on the LX after installing LED tails to make the Cruise Control work properly. You need to pop/remove the rear passenger side interior panel in order to get to the connectors. I didn't have any issues w/ my '97 'cuz it didn't have a trailer harness.

Here is a stupid question in reference to rear lights - Did any of the other 80's from abroad come with lights out of the factory like everyone retro-fits currently? Without Amber?

Interesting... I didn't run into that problem with my LX. My trailer harness is still connected and no cruise control issues... :meh: Strange.
