To be upfront, I haven't been on here as much as I used to. Which probably leads to why I'm thinking about selling my cruiser. When I first bought it, I didn't have kids and had more time and more money. Fast forward almost 10 years and my life looks different.

Blah blah blah. Anyway, I would love any feedback from all you folks who are much smarter than me.

My truck is has probably around 335k miles on it. The original owner replaced the transmission. The work I've done it has mostly been to keep it passing smog. I also added the wheels/tires, lift and rear bumper. It has been a fantastic truck for us. It always turns on and goes. It's not perfect. There's some rust on the roof near the rails. IMO, it's in good shape but it's definitely not one of those trucks that's been fully restored. It's also lived it's life in Northern California, not beaten up too hard.

If you have any questions about it, I will do my best to answer.

Thank you all in advance.

Sounds like me except my truck is in WAY worse condition, I just got it, but I have 0 time to do anything to this poor truck.

Good Luck with the sale!

The photos at your signature link are from a distance so they don't show much. Post in the FS section with close up photos of rust, engine compartment, frame, etc. Yeah, $14K-why not? :)

More pics please. All I can see is that it's cool that you have your moulding/snakeblinders still on, and you have a cool 4x4 labs rear (is that a high mount for the spare) Looks promising though, just need a lot more. Glws.

This is all super helpful. Thank you all. I have some work to do! I will:
  • Try to find invoices for all work I've put in
  • Take a bunch of photos
  • figure out a fair price based on the love that's gone into her

Thank you! She has been the best. So reliable and fun. Sort of why I'm still debating selling. I always imagined my daughters in the future driving her to school while all their fellow classmates drove faceless cars lol

im obviously biased, and I realize that everyones situation is different, but if you can have that projected cash from the sale sit a while longer, id keep it. I went through a thinning of inventory myself, and chose something newer and a lot faster to get rid of over my 62. Or, I might just be getting old lol either way, good luck with decision and/or sale

Once it's gone, it's gone..... Unless you have financial topics that would be addressed with selling this truck, I would hang on to it. As Alex7 said above, we are all in different circumstances. Best of luck with your decision.

Cheers, James

Don't forget you will be that cool Dad with an old wagon. Don't sell it, my kids have good memories of our 60 going to Pismo and other places. If you do decide to sell start high you can always bring down the price and compare prices of what's out there in the market.
