I just replaces front and rear suspension with TOYTEC 3" complete kit and 700 pound coil I just noticed as I start picking up speed from dead stop if I give the steering wheel quick correction side to side it will fall in to death wobble .I did not have this problem before installing the lift kit .any suggestion why this is happening?

Alignment. I assume you have had it aligned and zero point calibration done?

Also go back through and make sure everything is tight. There could be a number of things up front causing a wobble.

I was told by one of the off road shops that I need to change the upper control arms since I lift the GX by 3” Toytec coil over in order the get the caster right . is that true ??? my other GX I did the same suspension and just had it alignment and had no problem but it had 2.5 lift and not and 600 pound instead of 700 pound coil .

I guess I have no choice then replace the UCA'S with aftermarket one since the boot of the original factory UCA"S on both sides already in a matter of day fell apart because being old and too much of stretched due to longer 3" suspension .I guess I should have done the 2" lift and saved .well can any body tell me beside re alignment if I should change anything else in front suspension because of 3" lift ?
thank you

Since the GX has 230000 Miles on it I guess all those parts would have eventually fall apart and need to be replaced regardless of lift or not . I am checking the CV ‘s I am sure pretty soon they will need to be replaced .

You lifted a GX 3" with no ucas and no bushing, tie rod, brake, or any other maintenance and wondered why you had a wobble? Stop modding and start maintaining!

2.5" is "the unofficial limit" in my mind of getting away without changing the UCA's, but caster angle still isn't that great. New UCA's gain clearance to the coil, as the stock arms usually get close to hit, or do hit, the coils on the coilovers.

Toytec has been putting a video series out and linking it on IG. I watched one a week ago or so, "how to get an alignment with stock UCA's and 3" lift". I was intrigued, and then laughed at the end where he admits that you can't get the right caster settings with stock arms and 3" of lift, and that truck will need new UCA's with caster correction. It's just not a good idea to lift 3" without new UCA's. But yeah, if you had have done just a 2" lift, it would have been less expensive and easier on the other components involved.

So new UCA's would be something you'll really need to get, and then check all the joints on the wheel ends. So easy for them not to be reinstalled properly, or they were already worn and now the new lifted angle has pushed them too far, and they need to be replaced. And yeah, the CV boots will probably slip with the new height and start seeping like joabmc said.

So on the the CV boots likely slipping do you think that's likely at just 2.5" as well?

Yes, probably. Any change from a stock height can cause them to slip, since they had a memory going for years at the same position.

But they may or may not seep or crack, you just never know. I'd just be on the lookout for replacements so if/when they do go, you'll have them already or know what to buy to do the job.

The cv's are none issue since we used diff drop the angle of half shafts are good but i will keep eye on them .I believe what drastically changed the feel of this GX from last one I did the lift is that I asked for 700 pound coil which it hardly gives which actually I think as I change the skinny tires to 285 it could help it just a little also I will uncoil them a little see if they get more bouncy .As far as factory uca's there is lots of room and touching the coil it will never happens but just like DAN said it the GX has 230000 miles and in order to fix the wobble and steering which not as sharp as it was in very low speed and to just get the right caster I just changed the UCA's with total chaos and checked all the ball joints and tie rod's for sloppiness they are all good to go .tomorrow will do the alignment and wheels and tires .

If all fails I just drop big o heavy bumper with old winch out of 1944 DODGE power wagon in the front of the GX that should clam those 700 pound coil down real good and make the wobble none existance hahahaha

Just a up date After UCA's replaced with TOTAL CHAOS and Alignment and everything else related to up grading suspension check out the GX is driving very nice and actually rides better than before .thanks every body for your suggestions .
