A few days ago, something large and heavy hit my Tacoma with a loud WHANG!

I checked it and there is a nice deep dent in the roof. It is deep enough it blew the paint out. The truck is an '08 tacoma which I plan on keeping indefinitely. While I don't care quite so much about the cosmetics of the dent, I do care about keeping the corrosion that the dent and missing paint could potentially cause.

Any ideas on how to deal with this short if grinding the paint off, filling with lead or bondo and repainting? The whole cab would likely need to be repainted....

You could probably have that fixed at a body shop for around $200.00. It has the door as a paint break on one side and the trim strip on the other so they wouldn't have to do the whole roof.

I think the difficulty there is, that panel extends all the way down the front A Pillar to the fender and cowl in the front, and then back to the rear... Not sure how they would be able to match that without painting essentially the whole side of the truck.

I showed it to my body shop manager and hes the one that said it would be fairly easy as well as giving me the rough estimate of 150~200.

ahh. OK. Thanks.
