No I wasn't aware that might cause this issue. Also haven't been into the air box in several months after cleaning the air filter. I will go check them though.

think it's about time for a good ole fashioned seance.
what time is good for folks to gather around? The more the easier it'll be... and preferably during hours that autozone is open...

cracked air intake can cause the "no crank"... but it won't cause the "no spark".

I'm pretty sure it'll be an easy issue to resolve... and that first link has alot of 3FE gods in it... including Godwin! 3FE's are stupid easy. But easy to overlook a simple problem. That's why I suggested a seance around the hood... the more eyes, the better... posting on mud will not resolve this issue. Like Jon Held said in that thread...

Intake is hard but I don't see any cracks.

I agree on the seance. I am available anytime in the evening and all day during the weekends. My spare heep is being used by my daughter to get back and forth to school and what not.

I haven't tried pulling codes because I have had the battery disconnected and I was under the impression that cleared the ecu.

Yeah, a disconnected battery will clear the codes. Hook the battery up and crank it some and see if you get a code(s).

I'll do that when I get back home and if I can't source a distributor for minimal cost I may take you up on your offer of a spare to see if that is where the issue is.

Okay so I checked the code tonight and I got code 12. So it would appear that it is the distributor, starter signal circuit (ignition switch?), or ECU.

You have already changed the cap and rotor... right? As in, a new one this past two weeks?
I mean... how can a distributor go bad on one of these???

I did that Monday night. So distributor, ignition, ECU?

If your ignition is turning over your starter... then it shouldn't be that. But if Jim has a spare distro to try...

Well I have already been in the classifieds looking for used ones and have come across two so I may try and find out what the state of those are.

Also I would like to thank everyone that has helped to this point and by dragging my slow learning ass along on this current adventure.

I'm looking forward to the seance.

Seance pending the procurement of a distributor.
