My 3rd time this winter with a bad cold, fever,sore throat, stopped up nose. I usually only get sick one during the winter, but felt it coming on again sunday night, and i've been sick ever since. I really don't buy into global warming, just wandering if the warmer than usual temps haven't been cold enough to kill most crud floating around. Anybody else had this crap?
 
Andrea has had a few she brings all the stuff home from her daycare....I get sick maybe every 4-5 years so I cant help u much

I'm not a good gauge, as I'm getting all the crud from Daycare. In the past week, I've had a nasty cold with some flu like symptoms which lasted a day or so, and the dreaded Norovirus for 24 hours, which is also going around.
 
I need to try the old apple a day trick. I took Flu shot this year but I always get one and never have bad bouts like this. I haven't been at work all week and the rate I'm going tomorrow is not looking good either.

Don't even get me started.....those mother f'ers. I never get sick. I manage to hide or cheat the system most years. Every year they get me I'm instantly sick. What a scam. Another instance of our government wasting all of your hard earned tax payer dollars. All the doctors that couldn't cut it in the real world work for us at the top level and make all the great decision that effect our health. I love the army!!
 
there are plenty of bugs going around....my trick to avoiding a cold is to gargle with hydrogen peroxide and start eating zicam rapidmelts as soon as I start feeling the post nasal drip...chewable vitamins seem to help too.....but I do think I am getting an ear infection now...
 
dont swallow the peroxide......3% hydrogen peroxide will even help whiten your teeth...my wife uses it daily....
 
A healthy balance of paranoia and positive thinking have generally worked well for me. And trying not to touch anything after anybody else, though that's harder than it would seem. There's also the belief that my alcohol consumption fortifies my immune system...

I got hit hard about a month ago. Sick for a week then got better. 2 days later it hit me again, this time it was bronchitis. Had to take antibiotics to get rid of it and wasted my whole time off stuck inside the house.

When I worked as a surveyor I didn't get sick as much as I do working in an office...
Of course my allergies almost killed me :doh:.

I had much the same thing, stomach flu for 4 days, good for two then some other flu chest and head. I still feel blah and that was two weeks ago.

I am glad I do not get sick like that annually.

:meh: spoke to soon. Woke up today and felt like I smashed concrete blocks with my brain and stuffed rags in my nose. I can't breathe, think, or do much of everything. 101* says the thermometer.
