I found this D60 front on craigslist but it has "dually hubs"?!!

How hard is it to convert over to standard hubs and do you think I'd be thowing away $650 bucks if I pick this up tomorrow?

Dana 60 Chevy Front Axle with 4:56 gears according to tag. Dulley Hubs with lock-outs. I have heard its easy to change to non-dulley just by chaging the hubs. $650.00 Contact Ryan

Measure the axle width. Most of the dually front Dana 60's are not that desirable since they are wide and do not demand that high of price.

I picked up two front Dana 60's from duallys, $800 for the pair. One was missing the outer knuckles. The other was complete all the way to the pitman arm. using the parts from both i had one built up and it is now under my tow rig.

It looks like it is Kingpin as best i can tell, the pics are kind of blurry though. Most ball joint 60s were dodge and ford stuff and the closed knuckle chevy was ball joint i think. If it is a chevy 60 with open knuckles chances are it is kingpin style. It would be very easy to tell if the pictures were a little clearer.

there is a link to a new axle/truck in the post above you. ;)

I would jump on that if it was nearby, but then again i have enough 60s to last me for a while, i just need some dually hubs

The SRW and DRW front axles are identical EXCEPT for the wheel hub and rotor.Yes, they assembly is too wide with the DRW hubs on, and that is why USMCRUISER is looking for SRW hubs. I would buy a DRW axle any day for that price and swap or machine the hubs.

or call doug (highonda) and buy the hubs new for a good price. one stop shop.

I've never seen or heard of a Suburban with a 60. I would imagine it would be some sort of special order or package.

theres a guy selling one out of a '75. so I figured that cannot be the only year. granted it may have been a special order thing.

man it sucks being cheap sometimes. makes shopping for decent parts so much harder. lol

You could order a K30 or 3500 suburban just like pickups, i would imagine not many people did though. I have seen a few.
