so the other day i ordered a T/C rebuild kit from Dan and when it arrived it was opened... no big deal, or so i thought, but 2 bearings were missing. i phoned him yesterday about 4pm and with no hassle at all i had the missing bearings here by 1pm today...
wicked service.
i know i pick on Dan quite a bit but he earned a vote of appreciation...

word, those honks have good service.

When I can't get parts from the US, I go with them and have been satisfied on a couple of occasions. Props.

I've delt with both guys. Easy to deal with and on time shipping. The prices are what you expect from a Canadian supplier, on par. Things can be expensive, but if you have to import parts from the USA, you will get a shocker for sure.

Speaking of which I need to give Dan a call.

Great place, some good deals and good guys.

I use them quite often!

Definitaly A+++ business!!!

Indeed, props to these guys, they've been good for Cruisers in Alberta. Gold Level River Shiver sponsors, annual appreciation days... all round good guys.

The one thing I would caution is their glow plugs for your 12V superglow equiped rig. They carry NGK plugs instead of Denso. When I ordered them a few years back, they showed up as 10.5V plugs rather than the correct 6V plugs. When I called, they confirmed that they do not have 6V plugs, but that NGK swears up and down that these are the correct items for our trucks. I'm not sure if they've got the correct voltage plugs since then or not, but definately ask first before buying, and at $30 per plug, it's worth asking rather than paying Toyota's $76 ea.

For the record, I converted my superglow system to full manual, and am now using those NGK 10.5V plugs. Of course, I have to glow them a full minute before I can start, but for TippyR, three minutes a year is no big deal.

Just passing on more kudos to Dan and Kev. Everytime I have called they were helpful and provided good advice. Yesterday I ordered the parts to rebuild my relay rod ends. My wife just called to say they arrived here in Calgary already. In my opinion these guys represent the highest calibre of professionalism.

Agreed, 4WheelAuto has fantastic service. I have never had any problems dealing with them. For that matter, Wayne....your service is right up there too. :)

Cheers.

Adam

PS - I'm the guy that bought the used BJ60 rad from you a couple years ago. You were excellent to deal with.

Napa also carries the 10.5 glow plugs, for even cheaper. I think 20 or under. But bring your own PN as they cannot source the number we need.

Did you remove the resitor on the busbar? to get the full 12 volts..?

I am also manual with these plugs, and I have the resistor still there, I do also have to glow a long time. But I get good starts with no smoke. SO I know they are hot enough.

One thing to say about 4wheel auto, the body panel products they sell such as the ones for the arches are not really that hot, and for 300 bucks I expected more. The lines were very weak and curve to the well not sharp enough.

But I was explained by Dan they did require work to fit. Not as simple looking as the CCOt panel.

I did get them fitted(back half only) and they do look ok, But I would not buy them again. Well for cheaper I would. They are worth Max 300 for the pair. Not 300 each.

Not alot of options tho from who to buy these from. So I guess they have the monopoly.... :) But they did give great service and I got them really quick.

I knew what I was getting into with these panels.....optimism got the best of me.

Yup. Put a 42 series 'Glow' switch on the dash which activates the stock relay, whcih is now wired directly to the bus bar.

The reason I did this was because the stock resistor was burned out and was going to be a few hundred bucks from Toyota to replace. Didn't seem worth it for this truck. The old resistor is still there, just plugging the hole in the intake manifold.
