As a designer, I get asked to do a lot of pro-bono work for non profits. A coach from Trinity University in San Antonio dumped this project on my department's desk and I was asked to participate along with other faculty to develop a design for a shooting event sanctioned by a Christian university to take place on Easter weekend.
Nobody seemed to see the irony in this but me, but I took all the elements that were given and went ahead with the project developing my own illustration. I am a firm believer of truth in advertising, but, for some reason they didn't like my idea and chose someone else.
I guess there is just no pleasing some people.

Must update the facts...
The information on the draft isn't completely factual. I didn't have all the text when I was propositioned to start the design. In truth, the shooting event is to take place on Easter Sunday, with a prayer service and celebratory meal accompanying with the event. I figured if they are bold enough to think that is OK, then perhaps they're willing to invite Christ to participate.
My design may be a little too heavy handed, but I can't be the only one that thinks it's insensitive and inappropriate for a Christian organization to hold a shooting match on Easter Sunday?
