I cut a tire last time we were at The Holy Place. Probably on Upper Rough Butt; a little treat jfz, jungle, JP and I scouted. You're gonna love it.

But anyhoo; sometime during trailing after the Annual Mtg, probably hill climbing along the power lines at Mtn Estates, the cut must have been aggravated because now that tire is flat.
Chuck or JP said that there is a a way to get that fixed. They said Gundy knows someone in Pendleton that can do it. Does anyone know where that is? Or better yet, someone in Greenville that can do it. I've seen this repair somewhere on Mud and it's supposed to be fairly trustworthy. It's a big ugly vulcanized patch over the hole. We're talking sidewall here, not tread.
Naturally I will use the repaired tire as spare only, but I really don't want to buy another tire just now.
Thanks

Bill I believe the place you are looking for is Tire Tech in Pickens............... Alan or David could tell you for sure.

Good luck and let me know how much they charge, I need to have the same done to an MTR of mine

Sounds like you are on the right track.

FWIW I buy all my tires at 4WheelParts with the no questions warranty. I haven't used it (yet) but I know that BMTHiker has and they honored it no problem. He cut a tire at Tellico and they replaced it, mounted and balanced.

I paid a boatload for 37"Iroks so it is certainly something to consider as you get into the pricey tires...invest up front for the savings from the unknown.

Yeah the 4WP warranty was like $16/tire for my LTBs. I don't know if that's a sliding scale premium. When you go in for a warranty replacement, you just have to pay the $16 again on the replacement tire. I've gone to them twice, once for replacement and once for reseating the bead (no charge at all). No questions, just $16.
