Custom sliders with courtesy lights (1 Viewer)

Hey folks, I am in the market for some rock sliders for my 05 LX470. I would like to integrate the factory running board lights in to them, or at the very least the light wiring harness.

My question is, has anyone done this or would anyone like to?

Look up the Owl Expedition puddle lights. IDK if he still sells the full kit or just the brackets, but it does almost precisely what you're after. Good kit from a good dude.

Yes! Have seen those. They are super slick. I am looking more to integrate the actual slim light portion of the factory steps into the slider itself.

I wanted to do the same as you @qwertyisdead . I was able to grab a set of the MetalTech sliders on a Group Buy through our Club and I had a couple of Rigid's A-Series pods laying in my drawer. I agree, there are very cheap alternatives for lighting choices but I had these collecting dust.

Upon removal of my OEM side steps, I clipped the wiring below the OEM connectors and I tied them into the OEM harness for approach lighting from underneath the rig. They come on with the key fob...and when you open and close the doors as designed.

I also use inexpensive led pods mounted to my slider legs. Still need to address my wire management, but very straightforward. Coastal slider kit, btw.
