Dont know where this thread should go but thought some might be interested, I found this website becuase I want a custom license plate for front of my BJ42 and ran across it. They r heavy duty aluminum plates, stamped and u can get in Euro, Canadian, Japanese, and American style, and also have diff styles within each of the countries listed. I have no affiliation, just throwing it out there. I beleive they r around $27 plus shipping from Florida. I am thinking about the Japenese style or AUS if they have?

Cool, this should lead to some interesting personalized plates.
"An idle mind is the devil's workshop"

I wonder if/how individual states might view this, example, counterfit plates or some BS like that ???
I am sure there are some regulations out there somewhere.
Our tax dollars at work.....

Thanks for the link.

I saw ads for these type of plates a few years ago in some car mag.
Have not seen them lately.

A funny thing I noted in the ad:

"If you would like to start your own License Plate Making Business, click on Business Opportunity for more details"

Fixed it for 'em:

"If you would like to work in the License Plate Making Business, then just drive around using our plates for a while"

Yes, several locations in every state to work from!

I'll tell you what. Here in the Peoples Republic of Washington, I'm going to get some really thrashed '77 plate(s) and have them reproduces and toss away the old plate. We can "plate" our vehicles with old plates provided it's from the same series that was originally on the vehicle. The "new" plate then becomes a collector vehicle plate and I never have to pay registration fees on it again. : ). We can only do this on vehicles that are 30 or more years old.
