excellent work......curious....what is the weight, finished with carpet, latches and hinges? I am surprised nobody asked, unless i missed it. The attention to detail equates to a very fair price you are charging. Good for you Bro !!

Thank you sir. The box's weigh approx. 100 lbs.

I actually have done the black hardware on one box for mud member hamishpotter. there is a pic in this thread of them. Pg. 4 half way down.

Hey folks, new member here. Came across some photos of the Gen 4 storage solution on the internet, and they led me here.
I realize this thread is several months old, but I was wondering if a box for an 06 Gen 4 4Runner is still available?

Thanks in advance!

I have a 4th Gen box ready to go in black.

I have about 5 sets of the 80 series box's cut out and ready to be built and carpeted.

@scrowley Did you end up making the 3rd gen 4runner cargo box?

I never made a 3rd gen box. I would make one if someone could leave one at my shop for a few days.

Any chance you will venture into making boxes for 60 series?

Yes I would love too. Just need a 60 for a few days and enough interest. I would like to have one for every Toyota suv

Well we are on opposite coasts but if I venture that way I will make it a point to stop by and be your guinea pig.

Ha. I just put up a couple ads to try and get a 60, and 100 in my shop to template. Hopefully I'll get some takers.

The thing that will make shipping cheaper would be the ability to ship it flat. Send it as a kit with everything including the carpet and adhesive. Do a YouTube video on assembly. Price point is on I think.

Good idea. I will be looking at shipping costs this week for flat and finished. I can fully assembled the units/ pre drill then disassemble to ship flat.

@scrowley

Prob a bit cliche' but it takes someone who has the tools & does woodwork (me, not as good as I weld though) to recognize the work & quality - people who talk "local car audio shop" better expect a kid who isn't much on these, talent or tools.

I also don't see "built by the lowest bidder" as something I want in my cabin during a collision, or even the way you bounce the ass on some trails. It may only weight 100# but you're going to load 300# (or more) in it....

Those like me where shipping is just not worth it, a local cabinet builder is the guy to see, not a car audio guy - they don't have Forstner bits or a biscuit joiner, so you really aren't going to get a comparable end product.

Those do look like they're worth all the $$$, scrowley. My 2 cents.

Really nice drawers, exactly what I am looking for. Would be interested in the shipped kit that I can assemble.

I will be looking into shipping cost for both this week.
Thanks for your interest.
