This was the original oil filter relocation unit I installed. I was originally going to use brass barbed fittings to both the dual filter housing and the spin-on adapter and then use 300/lb hose and hose clamps. One of the guys at one of the parts stores talked me out of it saying that the hose clamps and the barbed fittings wouldn't work. I bought some high dollar hoses (From him), but they were so stiff that I had to use ninety degree fittings and they were steel. Well, I could never get them to seal and it was always dripping oil. So I kept tightening them. And, I cracked the oil filter housing.

I went back to the original plan and this is what I replaced it with. I tried to get the original dual filter housing, but they couldn't get it to me fast enough. NAPA found me this single filter housing and a much bigger filter.
Works great! No leaks.

On another subject, my intercooler tubing has deformed everywhere I have a hose clamp (t-bolt clamps). The tubing is aluminum. Does anyone know where I can find some steel thin wall tubing to replace it. I need one piece with 45 degree mandrel bend in it. The O.D. is 2-1/4".
You could probably just buy some galvanized exhaust tubing in that size, with whatever mandrel bends you need. It's likely to be thick enough not to deform and you can paint whatever color you'd like.

Yeah, I thought of that. There is only one place to get that stuff in this town and it is expensive! And, the don't have a mandrel bender. We once needed some weld studs that we buy for $.99. They charged us $9 each. I only buy from them in emergencies.
I was just asking to see if anyone had an online source. I looked at Jegs and they didn't have what I need.

I agree with Kief on the mandrel bends company. I have used them a few times now with very good results.

I bought all my turbo/intercooler parts for my swap from them. They have alum and steel tube in all sizes and shapes, all the silicone hoses you could want, plus turbo's and related fittings.
No connection, just a customer. Other swappers here on mud have also used them since I did with good results.

I got a little time in the shop last weekend and took care of some issues. The new oil filter housing was leaking, again. The shifter for the transfer case was hitting the tunnel and wouldn't go into 4wd. I tightened the fitting on the oil filter housing and used the 55 ton press to bend the shifter.
Since I had the shop and some time on my hands I went ahead and put in my Pyrometer and boost guages. I started with some tubing in the shop that fit just right and then built a stand to hold the guages.

If I wasn't trashing this whole dash next year, I would have removed it to drill the holes. I wasn't too concerned about hurting it. As you can see it's had better days. So I drilled the holes with the dash in place and the one for the wiring, the drill slipped and tore up the padding. But, as I said, I was looking more for functionality than beauty.
