Austin champ actually, I guess a British take on the willys jeep with over complicated wiring and a small rolls Royce engine with UNF stamped on the valve cover
It was great meeting cult and 84troopy maybe when we all join pete with rego, I know some old logging roads in the hills that would enjoy some 45s traveling on them again, throw a few old mcculloch chainsaws on the tray and a bit of slim dusty on the wireless be like the 70s again what ya say fellas?

Maybe when oz has his 2H slotted we can meet him at Byron for some wheeling in the green.

Sounds like a plan cult but only if we check out the pointers down by the beach and then hit the hills around Byron. I must admit our mountain ranges around Coffs is worth the extra 2 hours but we don't get as many Swedish back packers.

Yeah but a 5 hour trip with cat, 84, sneaky and myself in a '70 45 cab might be start a war.

Let me know if you need a hand with anything on the film, looks like fun.

Thanks sneak, hopefully our Bribe mission can be completely convoyed by 45's. It's on overkill as there's only 8 people for a morning, but damn it'd be extra spesh if you, me and Pete were the official vehicles!

After six and one half days of full on work I tossed it all in went down to the rig. I got this far with buttoning up.

Although, I think I'm gonna pull the DS back down and really get a good lot of grease in there. Think I went a bit light on.

Once this is done [aiming for this Friday afternoon] - the tie rod end replacement occurs. Then? Engine swap o'clock! :D

What? So no 47's!?
I didn't want to be presumptuous and assume you'd come. But then I should have known better - apparently your truck is decent at water fording ;)

Hmmmm, interesting..

Cult me mate, what method are you going to use to prime your wheel bearings with grease? a fancy store bought bearing greaser or the old time fj45 style of slapping the bearing inta a palmful of grease
You have to stay a bit nostalgic on these jobs haha

What decade is this motion picture your working on set in

84troopy how was the Condamine

good to see you back at it cult. palms and grease get my vote; some things are sacred after all. getting grease on your hands is what its all about after anyway haha. tell you what though I am buying a 49mm wheel bearing socket next trip to the city. I am done with hammer and chisel style on these old girls! did you run new wheel bearings in the end or wash and replace? make sure you renew that bearing nut tab.

Yep cat and WA - palms and grease for this ol cowboy. I agree west, a socket like that would be an investment if you're planning on wrenching on any sort of Cruiser in the next eon. No more cold chisel and hammer for these nuts!

@west aussie - what's this 49mm business?? I measured mine and they came in at 50mm. I've also heard of 52mm and 54mm..? Which is it?

Was chatting to cat skinner recently re single flared brake lines and turns out they're illegal. It also turns out they're what I've done. But a tool kit isn't as dear as we'd thought. Turns out they're only about $70.

For those who had no idea about this or the difference. Metric [Landcruiser] stuff is on the left. Euro-trash on the right.
