@Stepmurr what time Friday will you make camp? I might head down in the afternoon. Looking forward to a little desert camping.

Bring some wood with ya, I'll share in the cost.

@ARJMN Do you think pulling a trailer on this run would be an issue? Any really bad washouts or difficult terrain?

Thank you.

Wood is free (basically) as I get a pickup truck load about every three or four years of mesquite & pecan. Still have quite a pile left.

As for what time i'll be getting up the mountain that is a very good question I don't have an answer for

We are doing environmental testing this week and if all goes well we will be done on Thursday. Things never go well, so we will no doubt be testing on Friday.

If we do get finished early enough I might get up the hill by 8 or 9 PM. If things go really well (things never go really well) I might talk my boss in to letting me off work early and i could get up there in the daylight.

I'll have a better estimate on Thursday night.

Gonna miss this unfortunately. My parents 50th anniversary on 11/04/17. Family in town, plans, yada yada yada. Was looking forward to this too! Damn

I asked him and he said he didn’t think it would be a problem, this is your small adventure trailer right?
My trailer is not one of the Adventure Trailers. It is 12' long and 6' wide. It has high clearance. From what I read, I am more concerned about the articulation and some of the terrain, rather than inclines.

Thank you for letting me know.

Last time I took the loop, that trailer would have no problem. If any washouts from the recent fire? No clue, but they can be fixed with some elbow grease if needed.
Should be golden on camping spots, just checked and the recent Witetail hunt ends on Thursday.

I plan on attending with my son...any other 40’s going?

I was going to bring mine but the forces of evil conspired against me!

I didn't get as far along as I had hoped this weekend so it is still OOC.

The Gila is 3.3 million acres of forested hills, majestic mountains and range land. It is probably best known for its wilderness areas, in particular the Gila Wilderness - the first wilderness in the United States. The magnificent mountain scenery, cool summer temperatures and relatively warm winters permit a wide range of recreational opportunities during all seasons.
