My Mom and Dad made this Santa and Sleigh about 50 years ago. Dad cut out the wood and made the framework - Mom did all the painting. They passed it on to me when we had children of our own. Its still holding up but getting some wear and tear up close.

The was once grand antlers on all of Santas reindeer but they've broken off over the years and are now just young spikes :santa:

I ran the 5k at the Buckeye Marathon on Saturday. I was 7th overall and 1st in my age group. Not bad for my first race.

Got to play in a little snow on Schultz Pass

Is the road still open all the way from 180 to 89? And did you drive backwards the whole time?

I know 92 was too early for the Toyota sombrero but can't for say for sure if that is was it is on the back hatch or the Scion Logo? Old eyes.

Curious is Dry Lake Hills still just a mountain bike area or have they opened it back up to motorized vehicles? That was one of my favorite spots to take my dogs and let them run in the meadows. The second higher one was a little trickier to get up after it snowed. Great views of west Flagstaff from the far side of the second one.

Hahaha. Good eyes, had to throw it in reverse for the photo op, of course! Parents were in town for Christmas from NY, and the view of Aggasiz was too good for Mom to pass up. We had breakfast at Horsemen Lodge (awesome!) and drove in from Elden Springs Rd. They gates were closed on the Cheshire side, so we had to turn around and backtrack. No one seemed to mind at all.

Yeah, I am guessing this hatch has been reworked before I owned it., and the body shop put the galactic sombrero where it looked good, not necessarily where it belonged.

The Dry Lake Hills are off limits to all vehicular traffic except for Schultz Pass Rd and Elden Lookout Rd. In fact the roads that connect Schultz Pass Rd to Freidlein Prarie Rd were recently closed due to travel management restrictions. I usually bike and hike the whole DLH area, but in the winter, 4 wheels got the nod. The place is a lot quieter in the winter for sure. I love that second lake area that you speak of. We ride up the old road bed from the top of the pass (Little Gnarly Trail), or hike up any one of several other trails to get to the top. In the late summer and early fall it is sublime.

An 18 year old virgin and a 19 year old virgin within 14 hours of one another. I love looking at stuff in Arizona.

Or Healthcare. Just don't get sick, it could take weeks to see a doctor.
