Anybody heard from Wayne lately? Not like him to disappear for a week

He lost a family pet recently which I am sure makes this forum seem unimportant. Given time I am sure he will be back telling me to "not get my panties in a wad" over some subject. :)

Crusher's beloved dog Cruiser passed away on, i believe, the 23rd of September. There was a seriously solid bond between the two of them.
As well, Crushers may be taking a holiday one of these days.

Oh man ... Rip.

To me a dog was just a dog ...
that was before i got this "RIO" dude my awsome dog that is always with me at work and at play . Watching the truck , catching rabbits, carrying my tools, bringing groceries in, fetching my shoe and slippers a true perfect buddy. I now know there is a real special bond between us and these thing , carved over thousands of years !! Too bad they do not have our longevity ... BBC as an awsome documentary called
the secret life of dog
For who is interested
RIP. sorry for his lost

yes, it really got to me having to put old Cruiser down. he was still bright and attentive, eating well and his system was functioning properly.
sadly malumutts have a problem with hips. 3 years after my first realization that his hips were getting bad he couldn't get up, period. on Saturday i thought "this is the day" but after a lot of coaxing he struggled up and staggered to the road. suddenly he was off doing his stiff old man walk but he was walking and quickly too. enough to say "not today, old man, not today". Sunday he couldn't get up to pee. Monday the decision was made ... nasty decision to make, i don't wish it on anyone.

Sorry Wayne... I remember meeting Cruiser when I drove up from Massachusetts to pick up the 70 series dash... They truly do become family. Sorry for your loss.

Loosing a dog was tough when I was a kid and unfortunately it doesn't get any easier when you become an adult.

So sorry to hear the bad news Wayne.

I really like the bush idea. You'll never forget him and even if you move you will make the pilgrimage back to see the bush.

I'm sorry for your loss

Sorry for your loss. Tough thing to lose a dog, their whole lives are spent trying to make us happy... can't say that for anything else in our lives.

Ack. I used to think people that got all worked up over their dog dying were weird. Then I got my first dog... man, I dread that day coming, and it's not too far off. Sorry for your loss, Wayne. Hang in there.

Tough stuff.......you've got the great memories but they hurt. Never gets easy but at least a bunch of us feel for you. Sorry to hear of it, Dave

It don't get any worse than that....

You were one lucky man to have such a loyal and faithful friend for so long...and he was truly a lucky dog, for having someone that cared so deeply for him..

My condolences..

Very sorry Wayne. He has a nice resting place.

We had put our sheltie down of nine years. Can put the blame on pancrititus and failing kidneys. Before that ecoli which my wife put out 10 grand over three years trying to get rid of. Wonderful funny dog ;) Still cannot get the though of his worried look when he was looking at my wife, then the vet as they started to inject him and went to sleep.

Sorry Wayne.. The day when I have to say goodbye to my Border Collie I will be a hurtin something bad. Hopefully that day is a long, long way off.
