Ah Man! I would have gone with you, looks like a nice drive. Was that North, South, or East of you?

Come up and join us sometime. We started just north and east of Pyramid Lake and rolled south to Fernley.

Actually I really like that Nevada high desert terrain. From the major highways it looks like nothing is there, but once you get up into the canyons it's an amazing place. The Norcal group has gone to the Desatoya area a few times and it's for sure worthy of some additional exploration. I would really like to take a 4-5 day expedition type trip into the area north of Hwy 80.

Oh yeah-nice 100 series too.

Hello from San Francisco!

Hey nice trip you guys had! I am from San Francisco and really would like to get together with you guys even for a coffee.

Hey Cruiserdrew, see your avatar about some NCal Cruiser Association. How can I join? Meetings? Info?

Great forum; great folks!

We try to get to SF 3-4 times/year. So next time I'll give you a call and we can meet at Cafe Trieste, Stella or Liberty Bakery Cafe...or your choice! And if you are going to be in Reno let me know in advance...bring the Cruiser and we'll do a run!

I'd like to go for a Nevada run. My Dad has a place East of Lake Tahoe and we would both love to join.

I post all of our runs in the Battle Born Cruiser forum in the clubs section here on IH8mud. Usualy at least a week before hand.

I'm hoping we will plan High Rock Canyon far enough in advance for some of you Cali guys to make arangments. This isn't a techniacl run but is about as sceanic as it gets.

I'm really sorry I missed the run Saturday. The weather was perfect.

Please let us know. We're just down the street from you guys.

Alvaro

Where is high rock canyon? And when do you think you will go? I'm in Southern Idaho and some parts of N Nevada aren't too far from me.

High Rock canyon is in North Western Nevada, not in the Sheldon National Refuge but in that neck of the woods. I believe that the closest cicvilization is Gerlach, there is a ranch at Solider meadows. I highly recommend going out there, it is beautiful country.

I'd be willing to meet up with you guys. I work most weekends but can usually get the time off if planned far enough in advance.

Did a little wheel'n up Jumbo Grade last Saturday: Thanks Shawn and Mark for keeping me and my 100 out of trouble :D

As always I wished I had taken more pics...but it was such a nice day...

Ditto. Sorry for not having a good lunch spot to recommend to you guys! Reno is still kinda small town on Sundays (except the franchise joints and casinos). Christo needed my parts for their Moab cruise...so I am backed up getting my diffs to Sean for who knows how long. I knew as soon as I tore this thing down it would be forever getting it back together  I guess with all the deep snow it'll be July/August before the high country can be wheeled anyway :crybaby:

Just got my May/June 4WD ToyotaOwner mag...great article and pics!
