A friend of mine has been biten by the cruiser bug and is looking to
buy a FJ40 project vehicle. If anyone has any leads let me know.
Thanks
Mark (Past 40 owner) Crowley

alan tlcaprez? Congrats Chef.

I have a lead on an I believe 65 FJ40 no engine, tranny, tcase. Please let me know if you are interested. At the present time I do not have pictures but could possibly obtain some. I don't have the time or energy to get it and to tell you the truth if I did it'd be a turn and burn type of thing which I'm really not into. What's he actually looking for? Newer with disks or is he willing to convert it over to disks etc and drop a new drivetrain in?

I currently have a 1967 FJ 40 without drive train, with some assembly required. I purchased the cruiser approximately 10 years ago to build. It was in my 1 in 10 plan, now that the 10 years are up and I haven't even really started on it, it is time to part with it. The front clip has been dissasembled. All the original seats are with it, and it has some really nice 5 bolt rims with it. If you are serious about purchasing this vehicle, I also have a 4" Downey soft ride lift for it. Let me know if your friend would be interested. The Cruiser is located in Nebraska. It has typical Cruiser rust in sides and below tailgate, not beyond repair. The hard top has folding window in back, no windows in back corners. And the body has ambulance style doors.

Well, I couldn't remember all the details! But Hey it's a 67.. Needs a good home.. The one Pam's selling is the only one I know of right now. How many opossums does the glove box hold Pam?

Thanks. I will pass along the info.
Not sure what he is looking for but I think he is probably leaning towards a late model with a 2F. All I know is that he wants a project to build with his 16 year old son.
For those that don't know I gave my 40 to Colin (my son) for a wedding gift and he is in Lawton OK (Ft. Sill). I guess you could say he rides in a Hummer for a living.

I have been toying with selling my 1978 FJ40! Complete resto already done, but depending on how anal buyer is, they may want to do a frame swap, for it to be complete. Call if interested 816-305-6413

Zane annnnnd Gingles might sell? What is this world coming to? I will let him know. If nothing else he needs to look and learn about everything 40.

I will try and get my friend Steve to go the TAC meeting this weekend. Plus he lives in Raymore so I need to introduce him to Tim and Alex.

Hey Mr. Crowley,
While you're on line - You once gave a name of a place that does engine swaps fairly cheaply here in KC. Could you send me that name again? Do they do custom jobs, or just specialists in one or two type of swaps? Any information is appreciated.

With 2 kids under the age of two, the FJZ80 makes more since to have as my wheelin toy. Having four cars is a bit much for only having two drivers in the family...

CV:
I had my daughters Miata engine replaced with a low mileage import from japan.
Its a franchise. No problems but not sure if custom is available.

Can't believe it but the same people are still wheeling. I thought everybody would be broke by now. How about Bob? Who is TAC president?

Mark

Let's see,

Bob's running a mini-truck as well as the 80.
Erik's back as TAC president.
Most of the original hardcores are still at the events, but the list of regular attendees keeps growing, which is fantastic!

Come on over Saturday, drink some beer and eat some pizza with us.

Mark - Thanks for the info. and I second Chris's invite, come on over to the Olathe Pizza Street at noon. If you want a ride in the 40, you're welcome to come along with me (since I think you live close by).

Thanks for the offer CV but I had a cd release party for Proto-Kaw to attend in Manhattan Kansas on Saturday. Lets see, it was a tough choice: Attend a primo concert. Or Eat pizza with a bunch of mud monkey's.

We've seen more of the Bennett gang than we have of you recently!

Hey Alan, Chris, Erik and all others. Yes we found you. You can run, but you cannot hide. :D We hope to see a lot more of you guys this summer. We had a great time at the Daylight Savings run. Even though we didn't have a four wheel drive vehicle. If you have more runs at Tuttle this summer we might see you there. Watch out for the "Bennett Gang" they are a rough bunch. ;)
