Sorry guys this just isn't my gig .. saw this in town. Just wondering what it is. Beyond 40/55/60/80/81/100/200's I'm lost.

Good peepers.

JDM wheel on the otherside

Shane, NICE rig!

I can't believe the shape of these things for being pre-90's. Japan must not use road salt like here.

Does anybody build them up like the 40's, or 80's?

I just think I'd be nutz driving on the right:eek::D:steer:

No factory roll cage,so its not euro or aussie spec. Anyone know when the JDMs got roll cages,I thought it was 90-?

Occaisonally:rolleyes: Havent you noticed our modified rigs sticky?:D

Easy to do up,they share a lot of parts with the non US 60 series. Engine ,gearbox/t/case,wheels ,rear springs, brakes and they have an identical electrical system(well they share the same schematic)
Mericans are beginning to import the 85 models from oz,so no doubt you will see more in the future.

does that mean no rear seats cos no rear seat belts to go on the no rear bar

Mines got a rear bar and its jap spec. That's what the rear seat belts bolt onto. Well they did before
I ripped the back seats out and put a cargo barrier in behind the front seats.

Thanks TY, as the time I bought this I had never seen another, but this was 6 years ago and I had no idea of any thing not from North America.

Mine came off some small island and with only 36k miles it was perfect. I did have the wheels powder coated and tires put on it.

The pics are as I got it, not detailed anyplace. The only thing not factory was a battery cut off switch installed under the hood.

RHD took a few days to get used to and that little buzzer that goes off at speed. But way cool in every way.

It now resides on North on an Island in the San Juan Islands by a hoarder of very nice Land Cruisers.

My 74 came with a rear seat but no seat belts. I had to install them myself.

Same with mine, they had to be installed in Canada to be licensed.

The early JDM models had rear seats but no belts or roll bar. When they were imported into OZ ,a lot of owners removed the rear seat when they took it over the pits and it was lic as 2 seater.
Then they put the seat back in and hoped no one ever got hurt in an accident.

Australian made cars never had front seat belts until about 1966 and rear belts about 1972 when the HQ come out.
But I think they were a dealer option in the early 60s
