How are prizes shaping up? I dropped off a door prize request to my local T&T about a month or so ago. Have either of you (Clarence & Stone) heard from them?
I've been meaning to hit up the local Toyota dealership as well, but havent gotten around to it yet..times a ticking, I best get on it.

I have to pull out from doing Cruiser Days 2006 due to personal circumstances that have emerged, Jeff.

Everyone please direct your questions/concerns to Steve or Clarence...sounds like they have it all well in hand.

Okeedokee Jim, thanks.

Whos Trevor there? I dont know any of the parts guys yet, only really dealt with our sales rep. It would be interesting to see if if we could get discounts similar to JP/Sunrise etc.

sidenote: I was extremely surprised a few weeks back when I bought front brake parts for my echo at the T&T, and I stopped in at Westcoast to ask them some questions, their prices were very similar, and the pads were actually cheaper!

Hi All:

Lurker from the Seattle Cruiserheads here with a question about the Cruiser Days event!

The "show" is on Saturday, 8/26/06, with an optional camp-out that night and trail run the next day, correct? How far will the camp site and trail run be located from the event site in Surrey?

I plan on attending the whole event and there will most likely be a few of us Seattle Cruiserheads in attendance.

Thanks!

Alan

Hi Alan:
You are most welcome to join us for the camp-out on August 26 after the Cruiser Days meet is finished. I think the plan is to allow members to go home and get their camping gear, and then meet somewhere before we head down the road. We will probably head for the Harrison Lake area which is about 2 hours drive from Surrey. The fellow that is organizing this is currently on holiday in Alaska. Last year we camped up at Chehelis Lake above Harrison Lake. Because of active logging up in that area, we will be checking out trails in early August to see which are still usable, before final plans are made. Hope this answers your question.

Hi All:

Thanks Bill for the response. Please post an update once the plans get set.

Regards,

Alan

Change of plans for the wheeling and camping after Cruiser Days. We are now going to camp at Big Silver Creek, up the East side of Harrison Lake, NOT Chehallis Lake. A possible day run on Sunday will go up the the Clear Creek hotsprings. Bill W will give out maps and information to those signing up for the camping run.

Sounds like Petra and I will be in Clagary Friday night for a wedding. We are going to try and get back Sat in time to head out for the camping trip, however we will not be at Cruiser Days. I "think" Sheldon is working that weekend, however G&S will still be a sponsor, in support of the event.

If it works out with my work schedule, I am more then happy to assist exploring any trails in that area so anyone who wants more then a gravel road trek can do some wheeling.

Concession

FYI...Spoke to my buddy John today and the Knights of Columbus are interested in having the concession stand at Cruiser Days, but he won't know for sure if they can do it until their meeting Thurs night. They sell the usual - burgers, hotdogs, chips and pop. Typically a "meal" including a burger / hotdog, chips and pop goes for about $4.50.

The Knights of Columbus do charity fund raising and are currently trying to raise money to cover the travel expenses for the parents of an 8 yr old little girl who has to go to Toronto for a heart transplant (otherwise they won't be able to accompany her). A really worthwhile cause as far as I'm concerned.

Bill, I've lost your phone number...can you please give me a call - John had a few questions I need to talk to you about.

Is there an official start time for the show Saturday?

I'll take a guess to answer your question, until someone in the know corrects me, but last
year it started at 10am, with setup people to show up at 9am. The thing is people start rolling in at 10, and keep coming till the show is over. The best would be to show up around 10, then you have time to walk around check out the early cruisers, then see all the trucks as they roll in.
Cheers,
Deny

 Bad news. spoke with John this pass week-end.They (The Knights of Columbus)already have a function planned for the same day that he forgot about. No hot dogs, burgers, chips, pop, and water.Could we sell the last three items ourselves with no licencing?

Stone was talking to the Newton Lions (post 39 above). Did any one follow up with this? Not a Coastal member, just looking forward to some good food:D

Sorry Olympia...that had also fallen through with the Newton Lion's Club, and I had asked the same question afterwards considering that there is a McDonald's and corner store just across the street, but got no response (at least when I was still involved with Cruiser Days).

OK, I have notified the Surrey School Board that there will be NO food vendors at Cruiser Days. People will just have to eat at McDonald's or the gas station across the street.
Everyone should remember to bring their own water, hat, and sunscreen as last year was quite hot. Also, we need a few volunteers to help clean up after the event.

Thanks Drew. Phil S will need help packing up all the gear he is bringing such as PA system, tent, generator & cables, etc., into his cube van. I'll be there too. Anybody else? Who is supplying the music?
~Bill

I will help where ever I can.
