fjc on display?

Does anyone have any good connections with a dealership to see about having a fjc on display at our show? JP perhaps?
Theres a lot of buzz on them now, you should have seen the neck twisting going on as I was driving one last nite.

This sounds like fun.

Being just south of the border from you, :) I would like to attend.

Is there camping close by and what are the requirements to join the trail runs?

Thanks
Guy

Hi Guy:

We would love to have you show up with your rig on Cruiser Days, and then join us for an overnight camp and then an all day trail ride with the Club the next day.

We will most likely find a spot to camp on West Harrison again on the shores of Harrison Lake...but that is still being planned. There were some Washingtonians that showed up last year, we hope that they come again this year.

Cruiser Days poster

Stone,

Is there a poster available yet for us faithfull to spread the word? I figured I'd try rustling up a few prizes from a couple places I infrequently visit.

Is there a list of vendors, prize donations, etc. yet?

Jeff:

Clarence is taking care of the generic letter that we can tailor to suit each vendor that we would like to approach. I haven't spoken with Clarence lately, but will be getting together hopefully sometime soon. He also has the list of vendors that we approached last year.

I submitted my poster, and it got shot down as being "too busy". Don't know if someone is a better graphics artist than me...actually I'm not a graphics artist at all. :D

That poster looked fine to me.

Are you attending this coming meeting Stone (April)?

I reminded Sunrise again today, and they will support in some form. Would be nice to have the letter soon so we can give it out and give people time to think and respond.

Well I guess we can discuss it at next weeks meeting. All I can say is we better get cracking on it..times a ticking.

I was thinking of talking to my Toyota dealership (westcoast toyota, pitt meadows) and my local parts store as well, for prize donations. I could probably threaten one of my fab shops to chip in as well :P

Stone: can you forward a copy of the poster to my personal e-mail address, or can you attatch a copy on the board so we can all see it... I can not make the meeting this week either, that may change, however, would still like to see what you have created...

Thanks,
Petra

FYI - Just confirmed again with the Surrey School Board today that we have been approved for the use of North Surrey SS's parking lot for August 26th. The rates have stayed the same so we would be charged the same fee as last year.

Just wondering how everyone is doing distributing those posters and approaching vendors for donations to the event?

Sunrise has a poster, and will supply raffle prizes at a minimum.

Working on a few others.

MC Needed!

Hi Everyone:

Well, due to recent developments, Rob M. understandably has withdrawn from being Cruiser Days 2006 MC. We all wish Rob the best in a speedy and full recovery.

That means that we need an MC for the event. Please post up your nominations to have the Club vote on it. Thanks.

I don't think we should let Rob off the hook so easy ;) after all he's got close to 4 month's of recovery in front of him. I would like to think he'll be walking on his own by then :bounce2:
Just in case no one steps up :)

We have an issue with the food...got a phone call from the Newton Lions Club a couple of days ago stating that they are pulling out. But I'm on it and will let you guys know of what alternatives I find.

Hello all, I haven't been to any club meetings or any Cruiser events, however, I'd like to change that. Both my wife and I drive Cruisers, hers is perdy though.

When and where is your next meeting, perhaps I may attend? I will definitely be going to the Cruiser Days event on Aug 26,27.

input from the island

hey guys,
just reading through and see that fitchik is looking for more girls input on the t-shirt orders. I am trying to rally the troops from the island to come over for Cruiser Days so there should be a few girls coming over in that crew. I would think they would be interested in tank tops or girly tees. Myself, I prefer the good ole faithful neutrals like grey or black tees with a standard white or black logo.

If there is anything we can do over here to help advertise (hand out flyers etc), let us know by calling me at (250) 881-8235.
Cheers,
Christina

Kim:
You are welcome to join us at the next Coastal Cruiser meeting on July 13 at
Unit D, 8940 River Road, Richmond. That is just East of the River Rock casino on the other side of the steet. We meet at about 7:30 pm or later, after going for dinner somewhere close, usually The Pantry at 6:00 pm.. When you arrive at the meeting, introduce yourself to me and I will later introduce you to the members. Hope to see you there. By the way, this clubhouse will no longer be available after July, so we will be looking for a new location after that.
Also, we will be wheeling over the July 1 long weekend the the Chataway Lakes district, up north of Merritt, and you are welcome to join us there as well. Watch the Coastal Cruiser threads for info on that.

T-shirts were voted for at the meeting they will be grey and have a red (as voted on) truck (on the back).

There is a special girl t-shirt offer at the store: (24, white, tanks or babyT, for a sprecial price), so we could do somthing like that.

I am still waiting for Mike to let me know how many T-shirts we have from last year, befor I order.
