Yea, I know it is early, but want to make plans now.
Anyone know dates of CM 2016?

Tried to contact Rising Sun, no response.

Thanks for any info

Cool, thanks,

Trying to plan for 5 or 6 trucks, trying to schedule all the people involved.
It is a long drive for us.

I'm thinking about it... Don't know if I'll be testing though

I'm considering the drive from Michigan, it would be nice to catch a cruiser caravan out there

I've got this on my list for 2016.

I'm planning on attending CM16. I'll have my wife and a few of our children along, too.

I received a recommendation of ARB part #CKMP12 as a good unit for airing up tires after a trail run. Any thoughts or recommendations?

I also am needing a decent, budget-friendly CB radio. Any recommends?

Thanks!

Who did you try to contact and using what method? A post on our forum would have gotten you a response within minutes.

Anyway, the dates for 2016 are Tuesday May 3rd through Sunday May 8th. This is set by our BLM permit, which stipulates that the event is the Tuesday through Sunday that includes the first FULL weekend in May. We are in year 5 of a 10 year permit, so that's going to be the schedule for the next 5 years (through CM 2021).

As I always do, I will start a thread in the TLCA Sanctioned events section of Mud which will be the official CM2016 thread. I normally start that thread around December or so, as our registration normally opens some time in January whenever we can get the cruisemoab.com web site software ready to accept new registrants. We have our 2016 committee set and have already had meetings in August and September.

I (and at least one or two other members of the committee) will be manning the registration@cruisemoab.com email starting whenever I start the thread here, again typically some time in December. During the "off season" I only check that email every once in a while to clear out spam.

We're looking forward to seeing all of you there!

If our move plans go as planned. I will be going next year and leaving from the Kalamazoo area. More than welcome to meet up and roll with me.

Jason
That's cool. I will keep in touch as we get near go time, thanks!

From the cruisemoab.com website:

Contact the Cruise Moab 2016 committee chairman:

  • Jeff Zepp: registration@cruisemaob.com.
  • Our mailing address is:
Cruise Moab, P.O. Box 260175 Lakewood, CO 80226-0175
This is not a quick way to get a response from us. Please call or email!
And there is no phone listed.

Seems that is how people would be trying to contact you for information, since that's the contact method you list.

I'm bumping this thread. Planning to go.

When will the full list of trail rides be ready?

When will registration be open?

I need hotel or condo lodging. Any recommended places?

I will reiterate: I will start a new thread in the TLCA sanctioned events section as I have done each and every year as soon as we are open for registration. As we do every year around this time, we are testing and debugging our web site code with changes for 2016.

To answer some questions in advance, we will be offering the same trails as last year, no additions or subtractions. We will have Hell's Revenge night run on Wednesday night, Kokopelli 2 night overnight run and the San Rafael Swell single overnight run. We are working on trail sponsors for each of our runs. Our headquarters will be Slickrock Campground (collective groan) with the big tent in the adjacent field (woo hoo). We are still working on the Beef Basin double overnight run but we do not have the permits for it yet and will not be offering it in the registration process. If we can somehow get it after registration opens, it will likely be invitation only.

Please direct questions to registration@cruisemoab.com. That's me and Bill. We'll try to answer your questions as quick as possible.

Thanks and happy cruisin'!

I thought that our Mud usernames and passwords worked in the clubhouse section. Tried to log in and add that thread to my watched threads. Can't seem to do it.

I registered for CM16. Looking forward to this; my first time for this event.
