That would be very cool if we can work it out. If we can go it will be with my truck/cabover towing the LX on the trailer. So 70-75mph the whole way for me.

Ben,
ANY chance in a start date of May 15? I'm dying to make the trip and school ends May 12th. Can I send a petition to the board requesting date alteration consideration?
Not that it will sway things or change the date, but I know that those of use who are doing the school thing (not too many) mid May is when we close out. I would love nothing more than to make it to MOAB 20hr drive and all.

Nope, you are SOL. The dates are locked in by the required government permits, they can not be changed.

We've talked about it a little and this is the best time. There are always so many events in moab, we try to keep it in a calm week, otherwise lodging and trails are packed. And cdan is right the permit has just been renewed.

Theres a few of us from the Ohio Chapter kickin this idea around of coming out. Pretty serious about trying to make it too

Would you like to write the letter that justifies that to the dean and my profs, lol. I guess it will have to wait for another 3 years unless I can put the request in for consideration for the 2008 Moab run. Have fun kids!

Just saw the dates...when I had a '73 in high school, there was no way to get there, and now that I have a highway capable truck, I have college finals. What luck.

Stay tuned for campground information. We had the meeting and that is one of our first priorities, do we want to stay or move to a different campground? I'll let you guys know as soon as it has been decided.
