No more bicycle tire print on back of seats...

Possible reason for no power to ctr console plug (turned out to be cut wires instead) cleaned up the ground to find a shower of sparks on reinstall from a non fused live wire tucked under console. Yikes.

A peek in meatball's drawers

Front compartment is separate with flip up access only. Back is a slide out drawer wih top access as well. Nice tie downs on the corners and well secured to floor.

And no dirt on me .... well ok maybe but meaty is spending the time and money to make it right on day one. Bring it. Id be glad to help baseline any other rigs as well. This one just had an unusual bias toward cleaning on round one.


But...... we now have a de wood grained console with working cupholder and no more crumbs gumming up the seat heater switches

Not sure what the green wire was too. Removed other end from battery for now. It could power the cig lighter but needs to be on a fuse.

Youve got 2 other coax cables run to console..... perhaps more of a comms radio setup than boom boom but they are coiled under console for now.

Mine needs the underside done. Beat to crap from the 36 hour race, surface rust everywhere.

What is the best product to treat surface rust? I need to treat and paint lots of steel.

naval jelly
toilet bowl cleaner with hydrochloric acid (lysol)
some chrome cleaners
small hand held media blaster
elbow grease

but in that app i might just be annually clean and spraybomb with a tough farm/implement paint of your choice. I like JD blitz black.
you could go the por-15 or eastwood route i just dont like the gloss

Good call. I was just telling Jason the other day what a shame it was to get it that clean and put those seats back in there. Those should look really good, the "dish" is looking really sweet!
