This truck felt terrible at 29 psi. Heavy steering, wondering all over the road.

Put in 45 psi and back to being a jacked up s class with joco exhaust. ;<)

This truck does not handle at all, the tall skinny tires, 2.5 inch lift and extra weight sets off the VSC beep all the time.

s class from a solid stand point. Nothing really handles unless it says GT3 RS on the back of it. ;<)

I am running 45 psi in my KM2's in size 285/70 R 18. My truck does have a bunch of extra weight. Discount tire put in 29 psi and it was terrible.

45 psi made a world of difference.

On the '99 and the 2 pinion front dif, be sure to air down and gets lots of traction. The front diff explosion usually happens when a spinning wheel is in air or spinning quickly and suddenly grabs traction. I would always run rear diff lock when.

Yeah figured out the more psi trick on my dubs.
100s and especially the 98-99 need a stronger carrier. I wasn't really wanting a front locker yet but found one at a great price to avoid a huge repair Bill.
Slee says he normally gets 20 or so calls every winter with front cruiser diff issues on the 98-99 and later models also. The snow and ice in CO cause issues just like you described. Since ill be exploring in snow and ice every winter he convinced me to upgrade sooner than later.

If by handle you mean spin around with the slightest throttle on a hard corner...... :flipoff2:

So adding a front locker strengthens the front end? or the locker keeps you from spinning and blowing up the front end? @GLTHFJ60 the house of shenanigan's

It's a much stronger carrier than the stock 2 pinion (that you and I have) and 4 pinion (2000+) one

I purchased, welded, and installed the 4x4 labs kit on my 80. I love it and it's super strong. This is a very popular option for a reason. I purchased mine during a group buy for 15% off and saved another $100 in shipping by having it shipped to a commercial address instead of residential.

Finally got the BIO bumper installed this weekend. I like the bumper and tire swing out. The jerry can holder is secure but seems to move, I think some added washers and possibly a piece rubber between the holder and the swing out might fix it. The instructions are pretty vague, lots of missing steps. Pictures would of helped greatly! Luckily my buddy and I figured it all out.

Looks terrible.... recoup your losses and sell it to me

Dr apt for the Hundy before cross country trip. Oil change, new air filter, tire rotation. Before I head cross country I plan on putting new ties on.
Anything else I should check?
