I would think a decent machine shop should be able to make one for you. Are you resealing the front main?
 
One trick is to make a couple of gaskets for the rear main seal housing. This would push the lip of the rear main out past the worn area of the crank. I would still seal everything with FIPG before you do a final assembly.
 
forgive my ignorance but what does this sleeve do?
 
A crank sleeve is just that, a sleeve that slides (presses) of the end of the crank. These are used when the front or rear main seal has grooved the end of the crank.
 
ahh, got it. So, it just slips on the journal and then back to business as usual?
 
In a nut shell, yes. The trick is to get a proper fit and have the sleeve stay in place. The nominal journal diameter increases by twice the wall thickness of the sleeve so the seal will be "tight" and there is a possibility it may wear faster.

IE it's a bandaid, albiet a cheaper one than a new crankshaft or a balancer.
 
every domestic mechanic looks at a 1FZ-FE rear leak as a rear main seal when in fact it's an upper oil pan leak.

Are you sure you need a crank sleeve?

Yes, crank has a groove where the gasket goes, it's about 1/16".

So, does anyone know who manufactures sleeves for FJ80?
 
Typically there is at least enough room to shove the seal in a bit futher to allow the lip to rid in a new spot. I do not fully know the suitition. And if I remember right, the new seal has a lip that rides in a different spot any how. If the person that is doing the job is using Toyota parts or even aftermarket, he might just take a look to see if the lip of the seal that he is using is on the same area or not. But surely one can put the seal in a bit futher to get away from the old spot.
