I went by and looked at it. I would hard pass you can see they the chained the frame to straighten it.

Yikes... I say stay way... all the signs of splash and dash... looks like they cut the rockers and the rear 1/4s to eliminate some rust. Not that that is wrong, per se, but it is wrong to price it at $15K with that type of hack work . Not to mention it's a 350 conversion... again, not wrong, just not likely worthy of the $15K price tag.

First thing that popped up on marketplace when I searched Land Cruiser to use as an example for what I was trying to explain.

Looks like a good deal if it checks out. It will need to be checked for rust and more info on the service records would be nice (you can put the VIN into Toyota’s website and check for dealer service records). Timing belt will be due at 180k (if it was in fact done at 90k)—would be $1300-ish to have someone do it along with all the associated preventative maintenance (water pump, crank and cam seals, tensioner).

He probably wants them but if he does get it and was interested in unloading the wheels/tires and/or sliders I might be interested.

A ‘98 should have the rear locker.

Sounds good. Seller mentions checking for the service record in the Toyota site/Carfax and not finding it. I told my friend we can use that as a bargaining chip, at least partially if folks think it's a fair price point as is?

Friend likes the mods and wants to wheel with me/the club so they'd probably stay. As for the stock wheels/tires, I'll let him know.

yup, $9k is good if it has those things with the mods (assuming the visual condition checks out and test drive). Then go down from there for the lack of records.

Just noticed the crunch on the drive side wing just below the marker—another bargaining chip.
 
Camp toy
Fell into a bit of a rabbit hole on FB marketplace. This would be a fun thing to drive around camp on wheeling trips
