I agree and I think things are only going to get worse as fuel costs increase. I really watched how I drove this last tank of gas, and I was able to get a 15.8 MPG average for here in town. I normally get about 13 MPG out of the 62.

I think the used SUV market is going to end up being a buyers market as more people dump their SUVs and move into more economical means of transportation. So I am waiting and watching carefully, as I want to pick up a fj40.

You might know all about rocks, but I think your math is screwed up. Best I ever got on 33's and stock gears was 16mpg. That was running around 65mph the whole time. That was also before I had any armor.
I have heard that thicker oil will decrease mpg's. That may be my problem. I'm getting good reports from Blackstone on my UOA's so I'll stick with it.

I didn't, Blues Dawg did the math, iirc he used 9%.

Well, there's your problem, Carl ran the numbers.
I GPS'd mine and found my speedo and odo to be 8.5% fast with 4.88's and 35's. So I subtract 8.5% off my mileage before I figure the MPG. The last time I ran my HWY numbers I was towing the trailer. Got 12mpg towing, lots of hills. Normally, I get 15-16 on the hwy, 11-12 in town.
