I believe that one time when it was posted it was decided that they were hacked-in doors from a jeep wagon.

Yes those are most def. custom rear doors. Toyota did offer the LV with the option of rear barn doors but not in the American market to my knowledge. My Australian parts book shows them as an option below, you can see how the doors follow the body lines of the LV. The ones in the for sale and are no where close...

There was an LV for sale in Costa Rica that had barn doors and was a 1968. It had been modified with 3B diesel and coil suspension from a Land Rover or LC ( I don't recall). I think someone had posted it in this section a while back.
