Interesting. How do you install it in your stock Toyota radiator? How much does it cost?

You will need to drill or ream an opening into the top section of radiatior. The probe must be above the vertical tubes for obvious reasons.

Some probes can be bazed if your top section is metal otherwise the sensor will utilize a compression type gasket.

Open your rad cap and look into the top, your sensor should be immersed in fluid. If you cannot visualize the top, drain a little fluid till you can see the vertical tubes.


Forgot the cost: Depends on your source! Engine heat and oil pressure are my main concerns.

IMO you need instant notification of low coolant, so this is my choice, bloody expensive but hey.

No drilling of rad, cut top hose and insert, depends on your hose shape but you may need to lengthen so it can can fit in a straight area of hose.
