I'm torn. I am going to get an new wagon, but I don't know which route to go diesel or gas. I'm interested in keeping costs around 10K after all mods, etc. I can find a resonably priced FJ60 and add some of the mods I want and still be under the 10K, but I'm really interested in a diesel for numerous reasons. My question is if I can find a decent "donor" skeleton for 2K and from what I can tell a 13B-T/h55 set up should run me ~6K, how much should it cost for install. I don't have the resources to do it myself as I am limited in space, time, tools, and knowledge. Also, has anyone had this conversion done in SoCal, if so by who?

Thanks,
Spencer

Spencer,
i have sitting here a very strong running and comfortable BJ60 that needs "some" body work but it is actually very solid for a CDM truck. i know it's history right back to the first owner which is a good thing.
$3500 CND and it is yours to pick up.
1983 BJ60 5 spd, with a real nice set of corrolla buckets in the front.
email me at

if you are interested..
cheers

Spencer,
I think that you are the same Spencer that emailed me yesterday. I have that 85 BJ60 that you inquired about. I also bought a 1989 FJ62 that could use a motor. It would be sweet with that 3B/H55F 5 speed. Asking $5,000 for the pair. Let me know if you are interested.

Yeah, are you the one in CO. That sounds like a doable set-up, ut I still need to find someone to do the swap. If you are the one in CO, I'll send a message to you via your email addy.
