That sounds like a good place to start. I went with 285 as well, but I tried the Nitto Terra Grapplers and have been very pleased so far. Next thing up is the OME lift, sliders, bumpers, winch and....................well we will see.

hey dan ,
Welcome :flipoff2:
and its a fzj 80 not a fzg 80

Welcome Dan,
From a fellow Cruiser and fellow Denverite. Lots of of us around the city if you need anything, There also is a great club called Rising Sun you could check out. Lots of 80 owners in the club. Also, with Club Membership you get discounts at Burt Toyota and Stevenson Toyota. Your TLCA membership will get you a discount at Mount States. Cruiser Dan (Here on Mu) is my preffered parts supplier.

Lot of the work you can do yourself. Sometimes you need a mechanic. I have found a good one in the south metro area that I prefer to the Dealers, Toy Car Care on south Potomic. If your on the west side of town, Slee Off Road is a great shop and does more than just sliders. They are a full service shop.

Welcome, glad you were patient and found what you were looking for. Now post some pics!

Ken

convert, welcome to the club :flipoff2: Let me tell you this:

this thread is useless without a picture.

Took the new landcruiser for a run (blind faith) Bought on friday, fixed power steering problem ( dirty reservoir filter / back flushed and fluid flush) Left Denver
Saturday morning for Leadville ( SKIJORING) Very Cool . Drove to Hartsel Co and back to Denver . No problems truck ran great !!! Sorry for no pics tried to post tonight but could not attach the pictures .Help ???? Forum Newibe

Pics need to be less than 80K in mem size and 640x480 in dimensions. Also must be a jpeg file Most good photo programs will let you reduce the image.

You could e-mail them to me and I'll post them for you. Go to my profile and select e-mail. It's also on the Rising sun profile.

I think I got it figured out. thx Romerhttps://forum.ih8mud.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=&stc=1

Very nice looking....and welcome!

no whimpy running boards, cool. :)

Hey, we pretty much got the same 80... only mine is a 94. You got leather or cloth? I also have whimpy running boards... I've been debating on removing them.

MF34INC nice lookin truck. Mines got gray leather, I would lose the running boards

You got lucky... this truck had brown cloth. I think its ugly as hell. I plan on brightening it up with tan leather real soon. Truck was in excellent condition so I grabbed it up for 10k.
