Howdy all.

Have had a few posts referencing poor responses to email as of late. Found out this morning someone (a customer/potential customer) clicked the "unsubscribe" button on a response to one of their questions, which unsubscribed us from our own emails. Not sure how this is a thing, but it is. Any way about it, ALL submissions via the form on our website for a while have been lost. If you sent a form email recently and did not receive a response, PLEASE EMAIL info @ deltavs . com directly so you can get a response. Supposedly the form issue has been resolved but until that is a sure thing, just wanted to let folks here know.

If @woody/mods want to move this to a more appropriate forum that is fine, but since 90% of our customer base is 80 Series figured this is a good way to let a chunk of folks know.

NO NEED TO DISCUSS, just letting everybody know to send an email directly if you haven't received a response recently.

it's simply a function of the website service thing that was used. their built in form page takes the input from the form, compiles into an email, sends me the email, I receive an email from the web service, BUT the "reply to" email is whatever the person filling the form out entered (typos and all).

seems easy enough right?? WELL, lemme tell you how bad they messed it up. the fatal flaw (and the provider has been aware of this issue for some time apparently) is that they include (FOR WTF REASON I DO NOT KNOW) an "unsubscribe" button at the bottom of the email. since my *company email* is where the initial email is getting sent, that is the email that gets unsub'd if anybody clicks the "unsubscribe" button, EVER IN THE HISTORY OF THAT PARTICULAR EMAIL CHAIN, OF ALL FUTURE EMAILS FROM SAID SERVICE.

long story short I'm mostly sure this is an issue only with our web service, so highly unlikely any other page building service does something so dumb.

on top of all that, it boggles my mind at how it would happen:
-customer or potential customer actively fills out a form to request info from a company
-company responds with information
-said customer/potential customer goes out of their way to "unsubscribe" from the email chain, instead of simply NOT REPLYING

received both just fine, replied to form email. new form system seems to be working as expected!
 
What about emails sent directly?

I sent an email June 14, no response. Was told on here to resend. I contacted you via the forum message on the 17th, was told to resend. I resent my email on June 20th, no response. Was told on here to resend again. At what point are you trolling us.

Ironically the first sentence of my email was "I sent a question through the website but I'm not sure if it was received as it has been a few days."

At no point is there trolling. What’s your email? Searching “joecova” comes up with nothing.

well that's super weird. searching for your email didn't come up with anything but searching for your silentway did. are you saying you no longer want a response? all emails were marked as read too, which is weird.

OK, I'm just glad I am not crazy. In either case, glad to see comms restored.
