Console USB

Has anyone done an install thread for USB’s on the backside of the center console with the cool box? I am just not confident tearing into it with the cool box without knowing the proper disassembly and my search skills/Google-Fu sucks.

I’m literally useless for 2016+ but on my LX you can pry off the back of the console panel from the bottom and then a couple of bolts to remove the climate control unit.

Rear panel of console is not effected by coolbox box or not.

What options for adding USB charging ports to 2014 LX 570?

I like to add two USB charging ports to the front and two in the middle row. In the front, I have no need for cigaret port so I guess I can replace that with a cigarette style USB charing ports. I don't care about the ash tray in the middle row and like to replace that with UBS charging ports...

Just added USB chargers to the back of the center console on my 2011. I used a coat hanger to push the wire from the DS area to the rear of the center console. Not a lot of room in the 2011 for two chargers but I made it work.

Tearing apart the cool box for something you can plug in doesn't seem worth it.
