Considering a 200. What year is the sweet spot?

There's no sweet year. They're all a bunch of fat butted overweight gas pigs that rattle a lot. Take your pick!

Mine has 45,000 miles pretty much rattle free... Over weight and fat butted yes

I paid $48k in Nov 2014 for a 2011 with 45k on the clock.

A buddy just last month paid $61k for a 2013 CPO with 35k on the clock.

I like the look of the 2008-2011 much better than the newer one's as far as exterior goes. But I like the fancy S on the inside of the newer models. Find a good price with low miles, I don't think you can go wrong with any year of a 200, IMO

Yes, I can stream music via BT. It is an option right next to USB on my audio screen. I only use USB, as I have a 160 gig iPod stashed in the glovebox. I rerouted my USB line behind the dash and into the glovebox compartment (keep the iPod out of sight).

Good idea. I have one of those 160GB ipods laying around. Is it reasonably easy to control all the music from the touchscreen? Do you manage it with playlists?

It takes a very long time to scroll through all the artists and song titles, but yes, you can do it all through the touchscreen. I would highly suggest making smaller playlist to navigate through all the music. I have like 30,000 songs, so its a major pain to get to the one I want.

Thanks, so seems the LC got Bluetooth streaming in 2010 as well.

Not a 200 owner (yet) but Im fairly certain you have the bluetooth capabilities for music...if my 2010 4Runner does. Works flawlessly, automatically stops and starts the song when the the truck is turned on/off

If you're at the higher end of the spend scale, it gets a bit interesting as a 2013 LX570 is selling for only a few thousand less than a new 2015 LC.

$65-67K vs $71-72K Keeps coming back to have AHC or not...and the Lexus bling and service bonus.

My '10 has BT streaming music. Works great with my iPhone 6. Starts and stops music when you turn the vehicle on/off, receive calls, etc. you can also use the steering wheel controls to toggle through songs.

Bringing this back from the past.

Wife is ready to make a jump. 200 series is the first choice.

Couple questions:

1) did the audio and Nav interface change from 2011 to 2013? I only
Ask Because looking at pics, it reminds me of the archaic Nav system in our 2007 Sequoia Limited, which is slow and terrible. I know streaming BT audio was in the 13, and maybe the 11 and 10 too from reading these posts.

2) front parking cam became standard in 13?

Any other thoughts? Sub 50k mile 13s are about $55k. 11s are a solid 5-10k less than that.

Just checking as the nearest used one is 200 miles from me;)

Thanks, Ben

My 2011 has streaming BT. The nav did get updated significantly in 13 tho.

2011 still the sweet spot price wise. But will admit the features in a 13 make it look and feel more up to date.

Wow, how well does it work?

I use Bluetooth music and radio all the time in my 2008 that only has BT phone...by simply adding a BT thingy in the lighter socket...which happens to sit two inches from the AUX in. Works an absolute charm with my iPhone...AND amazing
Y, it seamlessly still lets the BT phone and speakerphone function work right along side it through the vehicle.

The unit is simple. It's a BT receiver with an AUX Out. Then you run like a two-inch cord right into the AUX just below it. Very clean, and requires no thought once it's paired.

I control playlists etc. through my dash phone mount.

Bottom line... It's super easy to get a BT solution on a 200 that didn't have BT music in mind from the factory.

I'm tired of my aux plug everyday. Post a link please. I'm ready to try something different.
Thanks

I need to reword my question slightly.

In both my 2005 LX470 and my current 07 Sequoia Ltd, the Nav/Audio is clunky, the graphics are poor, and it looks like it's a 15 year old interface, epecially compared to the huge touchscreen 8.4AN in my 2015 Ram Laramie, which is hands-down the best Nav/Audio interface I've ever used.

We don't ever use the Nav in "her vehicle", and we could live without Bluetooth (which can be done via adapter, it appears), but we use the radio/Satellite/Rear DVD/Climate all the time, and I hate spending $50k on a vehicle where the interface feels super outdated when I simply want to change radio stations or change the temp. On the Sequoia, at least, the touch screen has to be pressed very deliberately and hard, and if I drove it every day it would annoy me.

Looking at pics online, it's hard to really see the difference between the 2011 and 2013 systems. Does anyone have better photos, input, or thoughts???

Other than HID headlamps and some options becoming standard, what else changed for 2013?

Thank you:)
